  • Where do i enter the promotion code and how do I select the gift card?

    • I haven't entered, but there seems to be a Promo Code box 4th cell down.

      • What city u in?

        • Perth.

        • @Downtooz: what area? I cant see them honoring this for all ozbargainers between wyndham and Albany…most likely area , even postcode specific

      • +1

Might want to change the Title "For WA residents only" as highlighted by kc88; REIWA points to WA properties only..

        • And Davey Real Estate is located in Scarborough (WA).

        • @Tiggrrrrr: 7 offices -
          Central Team
          Coastal Team
          Currambine Team
          Mt Hawthorn Team
          North Beach Team
          Scarborough Team
          Wanneroo Team

        • +1

@bel13884: Apologies on my wording, they have an office literally down the road (note the "Central" office is actually in Greenwood) which I have dealt with previously. Also note comment below, don't expect to get a voucher unless you actually speak to them directly.

  • How do you choose which card? Don't think the follow up spam is worth the voucher that may never arrive.

    • I don't know - you'll have to try and leave feedback if you can get it… I rent : (

    • Don't think the follow up spam is worth

      Old email,old phone number.

      • How do you get your voucher if you use an old email and phone number? It requires a callback.

        • -1

          Message bank , gmail

        • @nocure: You will only get a voucher if they speak to you. I know of this particular (Scarborough) agent (literally down the road).

        • -1

          @Tiggrrrrr:

          Online Market Appraisal Only

        • +1

@nocure: Have you even read the form? Online meaning no-one comes out and views it vs having someone come out to the property. The fact that you have to arrange a callback date and time pretty much spells out that you are required to talk to them to 1) Pick a voucher and 2) listen to them ad nauseum, which possibly isn't worth the $20.

        • -1

          @Tiggrrrrr:
YES I Have the read the form.Geez

  • +3

Does anyone else get the feeling the service (and hence the bonus) seems specific to the WA market? There isn't a location to specify which state the house is in and the information on the website points only to REIWA (Real Estate Institute of WA) data being utilised.

    • Darn.. I just filled the form for no reason.. Your comment certainly adds up..

  • +7

Not sure if my personal information is worth giving out for a mere $20 gift cards… I'd probably stay away…

    • There isnt much personal infor being asked.. in any case you can provide all the wrong details other than the address

      • +2

Anyone can get your name based on your address, it's all in the REIWA information. In fact, you can even get every property you have ever owned, and when you bought it. Not much information is private these days.

        • +3

But authorisation to harrass you on it is something else.
I have had real estate agents harrass me until this day based on an enquiry ten years ago. NOT worth $20 to me.

        • @Make it so:

So many real estate agents are pure scum. Getting barraged by linkedin, facebook and text messages after turning a crap offer down?

          No means no.

do people still live in WA?
i thought the mining boom was over.

    • +4

Not everyone here slaves in the mines, some just enjoy living in the nicest climate in the whole country.

      • +2

tuzii was talking about Perth, not Adelaide.

Screw living with Perth's absurdly high temperatures all year round…

        • I must be a curse. Evrytime I go to Perth I take the crappy Melbourne weather with me.

        • High temperatures all year round??? The winter 18 max and 5 deg mins are just sweltering!

        • @hoxygt: Perth has an average annual temperature that is 2 to 3 degrees higher than Adelaide and has far hotter summers, with far higher risk of drought.

Talk up Perth all you like, but I hardly think the climate is one of the points to boast about.

        • +1

@xyron: Can confirm. I have died every summer here in Perth.

  • Thanks OP. Seems very little to lose for WA residents to try this for an online appraisal, bad for their name if they don't honour it.

  • Now I know how the rich gets richer.

    • property owners in WA are seeing big drop in market valuation of their homes this year. $20 giftcard? just a tiny tiny band aid.

  • thanks, gave it a go.

  • "Free"

  • +2

Finally a special deal for WA only.
Really tired of Jetstar or tiger annoying deal without WA.

      • +1

yes I nearly forgot that. The potato deal is even better than the battery, SD card and SSD deal

        • I eat a lot more potatoes than memory cards haha

  • Just make everything up, just make up you live there when you are in Sydney should work.

    • +1

Great idea. You thought of everything except the issue of them not mailing the gift card to an obvious timewaster in sydney!

  • So… time to grab some addresses from the White Pages and some fresh gmail accounts?

    • +1

Also time to grab some property with a physical address to mail the cards too

You almost had the perfect scam

  • I definitely not gonna call this bargain, unless it's a free gift card with no string attached just by filling the form. Pplus, if you got an investment property say in Aubin Grove, would you really trust some real estate agent in Scarborough to manage for you or would they even wanna come at all? They probably just cherry pick gift cards to give away based on the potential gain from clients in northern Perth suburbs

Been to too many property seminar etc promising gift cards just by listening to their seminar or signing up to their email updates, ended up with nothing unless you actually put down a deposit.

    • We are currently tendering on Aubin Grove train station project now.
So probably it will change somehow.

  • +5

Good work to all the brainiacs thousands of km away from perth who decided to give this a crack - the company obviously wondered why they were getting hundreds of leads from darwin and tasmania , found out where you got the idea from and shut it down pretty quick.

Us guys in perth could have had gift cards if you stopped to think.

    • Sooo pointless
