I'm looking for the cheapest possible mobile to take with me when I go for runs to be used as emergency, music and contact for urgent matters.
I currently have an iPhone 6 which I think is border lining being to big to take for a run and I am considering getting something even bigger.
It is a rural area and I have come across a snake on some runs and seeming it is not a well used track it could be hours before someone else goes pass or starts looking for me so taking a phone is a must.
It should be able to work on Telstra network seeming they provide best reception. But am open to others as in a true emergency it doesn't matter who is provider.
Usually I use spotify so it would be awesome if I could sync music on wifi before leaving but also open to throwing tunes on the old way seeming it will be just for runs.
I will probably just get an Aldi Sim due to long expiry and I will use very little calls.
What do other people use and what would you suggest?
Thanks
Why not a smartwatch? Gear S2 by Samsung can do standalone 3G conncetion; meaning the device will be able to operate independent of a smartphone connection, including making and receiving voice calls. I think it will cost you $400~$500 AUD so it's expensive in that regard.
Also, I think Samsung is planning on making it work with iOS as well. While iOS support is not out yet, you'd have bit of time before the Gear S2 is released in Australia anyways.

Just a suggestion. Now I think about it, 4GB would be too small.
