There are a number of possibilities behind chronic bad breath, so a dentist visit is needed to see if it has anything to do with the state of the mouth (teeth and gums). It could be that food pockets have formed in the gum line, and that thorough and daily flossing could help fix that up. Or that tartar is forming near the gum line, causing gum problems so a descale is needed. Or it could be medical, caused by sinusitis, diabetes, dieting, smoking or other problems. Chronic bad breath really should be looked into, first by the dentist to rule out mouth issues and then by a doctor if that doesn't fix the problem.
