Well the current catalogue (which you cant see online until thursday).
Has a Vodofone Nokia 2330 mobile phone for $49.
It includes a $29 recharge (prepaid).

But also when looking at it earlier in the week the box also states a free $10 credit after your first recharge.

So in essence would bring the phone down to only $10.

Yes, not fancy but i am grabbing one, for $10 you cant really complain if you are already a vodafone prepaid customer and need a spare or new phone

      The mobile would come with a vodafone sim.
      and yes, it would probably be locked.

    Does any know if the recharge voucher is separate from the phone. Specifically can the voucher be used on an existing vodafone prepaid service, or it can only be used on the new service.

    hi there.
    I jsut purchased mine.
    THe $29 voucher is your standard recharge slip they print out - can be used on what ever phone.
    If you want to use your current no. - they said you activate the new sim, recharge then they ad the extra $10 credit - they can then cancel the new sim and transfer the $39 to our exsisting no.

      Thanks, just bought one from gungahlin coles as well, they still had 3-4 instock, so I had a choice of phone numbers.

      Also the voucher can also be used for Vodafone Mobile Broadband recharge as well.

      EDIT: If you are buying this, make sure that you get a seperate recharge voucher. The person that sold me the phone originally said that the "voucher" was in the pack, but it took some asking around to figure out that the voucher was seperate.

        yep they need to be scanned up together and the voucher comes up as free.

    the phone is unlocked. however, good luck trying to find one in coles! have tried 2 coles in Sydney to no avail (Ashfield, Broadway).

    the box states it is locked to vodafone. $50 to unlock it. $25 if you unlock online.
    add another $50 if unlocked within 6 mo of purchase

    Checked out the 3rd store (Burwood NSW), they did not have them in stock. they said they only had 3 to begin with, and have since been inundated with enquiries!

    they do not offer rainchecks either (neither did Broadway store).

    getting tricky to hunt these phones down!
