looking to get our 2x 3 seater and 1x chair recovered.
Apart from the fabric being so expensive and same with the sewing, I'm now reluctantly looking offshore to have this job done.
I'm hoping someone has done something similar and can pass on any contact details. (I know of many tailors !!!)
My plan is to find an overseas upholsterer. i.e. South East Asia, and post off our fabric samples that we like, and have them return similar fabric samples they can source/supply.
I have an estimate the job will require 20 metres of fabric - which can be used to quote the cost to supply, manufacture and freight to Australia the finished covers.
Then I would post them 1x sofa seat cover and 1x chair cover (with the respective back cushion covers) for them to replicate the sizes and produce 6x sofa seat covers and 1x chair cover with the chosen sample.
Any advice is appreciated.
