15% off Nintendo Eshop Cards at JB Hi-Fi (in-Store)

580

Edit:
Yep, bought a $60 eshop card just now discounted :)

Saw this on a Facebook group. Haven't been able to confirm that it's true, but I think it is. Gonna go in to JB to confirm and stock up or if someone else could confirm that would be awesome.

Haha first time posting so I THINK it's a deal…?

    Vooks is a reliable source.

  • Vooks has posted on this on their website, and they're trustworthy, so I reckon it is a deal.

Seems the 5% off voucher cannot be used for these cards.

"*5% Discount Coupon excludes Apple Products, Mobile Phones & Contracts, Agency Products (i.e. Miele, Asko, Dell Built to Order), Pre-Paid cards & Gift cards, Pre Orders, Extended Warranties, & Delivery. Instore only. Full Terms & Conditions below."

      • :( oh well, thanks JPic.

I know what it says but I tired anyway and it worked!

It is 5% off the 15% so it won't be a clear 20%

      • Was able to get 15% off and the additional 5% off

    • Can confirm the 5% applies at Liverpool.

  • This is definitely a legit deal, I saw it advertised in the JB catalogue today.

  • Any know of a good bargain you can buy with this at the Nintendo store?

I can look up games at their store, but I wouldn't know if one was a particularly good deal.

3ds or WiiU? There are many demos to try to see what you like. Should subscribe to Vooks as they keep you up to date with the sales.

For 3ds, right now EscapeVektor is on sale, I enjoyed that greatly. Abstract puzzle, with some stealth and speed elements.

Also, AiRace Speed is alright, but is made pretty great by the 3D effect. Essentially its a tunnel flying-ship racing time trial game, but its only you racing, so its gotten a lot of flack for how boring/frustrating it can be. Demo's there for it too, check that out.

Finally, since I doubt these'll ever get price drops, for I think $3 each are the Gunman Clive games, which are short but sweet homages to Megaman type gameplay, i.e. 2D platforming, run'n'gun, boss battles.

There are many more great games (e.g. Cave Story, Shovel Knight, etc.), but I generally just wait until a sale comes to buy if I want. I have too many games as it is.

        Thanks, I have both.

    Yep, Vooks is awesome.

  • never used nintendo eshop before. is it any good for 3ds games?

    • +1

some games are digital only releases, so if you wanna play them, gotta use the eshop

  • Good saving for getting digital only games such as NES Remix 1+2 & Mario vs DK: Tipping Stars.

  • Out of topic here, anyone knows when the next gen Nintendo home console will be out? It is called NX or something will be released in 2016?

    • Not too long IMHO. People are speculating earliest is next year (after E3 reveal).

Fact is they can't keep going just relying on their 1st party IPs & amiibo alone. Delay of Starfox Zero especially has Wii-U take another critical blow.

  • Damn, I was in JB a few hours ago, should have grabbed something. Oh well.

  • How long are the cards valid for after purchase?

    • I read the back "no expiry date"

  • Great deal but I can't think of anything that I will buy from the eshop in the future and I am not 100% confident about credit rolling over to the next Nintendo console.

    Hmm, what to do…

    • buy a visa card from the post office add $50 on it and your set for wiiu, playstastion, xbox ect

      • He meant waste of Nintendo shop credit if next gen sucks

        • Yeah, this.
