Forehead ones are useless. We got given it and it's always off, says the baby is over 38 degrees
The in ear ones are inaccurate at young ages too ( dr said it)

Under the arm ones also tend to be around 1 degree off! Under, was told by nurse that
Sorry I'm no help as well, we use all three and determine and middle score usually

    • Forehead ones are inaccurate because it uses a predictive model to estimate the body's core temperature using the surface temperature. And also everybody's surface temp and core temp can vary significantly which makes forehead thermometers even less reliable.

  • We have a Braun one that goes in the ear. It was about $90. It's the same not he hospital around here uses as well as our local GP. It's fantastic.
