Has Anyone Had This Issue with eBay Click and Collect at Woolworths ?

Hey guys,

2 days ago, I've ordered a Moto 360 from eBay using Click and Collect and my local Woolworths because no one's in the house during 9-5 to sign the package.

I got an email in the morning from Toll saying that my item is loaded onto the truck and ready to be delivered today. I was pretty stoked with the quick delivery speed.

Until 6PM I haven't gotten an email from eBay saying that my item is ready at Woolies so I checked the item's whereabouts on Toll's track and trace and it said the following: 4:46PM - undeliverable: signatory not available.

I don't get what they mean by signatory not available. Was I meant to be there to sign the item or something? Or did the driver legit think someone actually ordered an item and addressed it to Woolies? Or maybe there was coincidentally no staff in the store at all at the time of its arrival.

I've used cnc heaps and I've never had any issues with them. Although one difference is that the other ones were handled by AusPost, which is why I think this is Toll's fault and also their shite service for deliveries to my house as well makes me think this is something Toll would do. I'm so pissed off. I was looking forward to playing around with Moto 360 over the weekend but instead I gotta wait 3 more days to pick it up after work (if they deliver it properly that is.)

Anyway, has anyone ever had this issue before?

  • i don't like c&c by ebay. i remembered last time and also my 1st time, my seller send my purchased using a registered post, took me ages to received it from woolworths… i dunno what is the reason of the delay, but i assume it is another extra work to sign the parcel by the 3rd party [woolworth] while the name listed on the parcel is my name…so, how are they going to retrieve the registered parcel without my id? wouldn't that create a delay…

    • My previous c & c items were protein and supplements from supps r us and they use registered post too but I had no problem with them. All ready to be collected within 3 days.

  • I got a pair of earphones delivered to woolies and had no problems with it.

  • There is every chance that no one was at the loading dock for the Woolies store and the driver effectively carded you… i guess…

  • +1

I ordered click and collect. It arrived in store on the Wednesday and by Friday still no code for pickup.

Emailed ebay and they acknowledged an issue on their end. They advised to go in the store and get them to call ebay to verify - no number on the email and WW didn't know their number. Fluffed around for five minutes, in the end the girl just checked my ID and got me to sign a post it note. Lol.

2 days later I got my email for pick up.

    • Similar situation, but mine had no code to pickup even after a week. Went in to sign.
