Save $100 off the RRP.
Just purchased a current generation iPod Touch 32GB from Officeworks in Five Dock. Paid $298 (the ticketed price). Although the Officeworks website is showing the price at $342 (a possible price match to Harvey Norman's price of $342), the price at the Five Dock store is $298.
Not sure why the price is reduced. The RRP is still $399. When I rang the Five Dock store yesterday, they told me $342. So the price reduction may have come through today?
Not sure on stock numbers, sorry. The sales guy went out the back to get me mine.
Maybe this is because the iPod Touch with camera (like the new Nano) is soon to be launched (maybe on 27 January, when the supposed iTablet is being launched). So if you care about having a camera, maybe it's worth waiting a few weeks…?
Anyway, I thought it was a good deal, saving $100 off the RRP on an iPod.
Long time browser, first submission :)
apparently the touch is due for an american spring release.
edit: possibly this february like they did with the double memory thing last year but then that's close enough to the 27th jan iTablet release so this could be interesting
