Perth-KL Aug. 30 and bugger-phone left at home. No option but to purchase in Langkawi. Huawei Y541-U02 dual sim. AUD $110. 2G:850/900/1800/1900 Mhz. 3G:UMTS 900/2100 Mhz. Brilliant phone but from those in the know is it compatible to Oz carriers? I use Optus for talk/sms and fluctuate betwixt Vodafone/Vodafone resellers for data. What carriers if any are suitable. Thanks
Android purchase in Malaysia-is it suitable for Oz?

Thanks so much C&U. I had a notion the phone may not be available in Oz and as stated I had no choice but to buy. I'd been awaiting back home for the right price dual sim anywayz. Thanks again and greetings from Phuket
I got a HTC E9+ dual sim at Low Yat Plaza, I just made sure that it covered all the Optus and Telstra 4G bands which it does.
Many phones don't so you need to look to be sure.Works fine.
Looks like you got lucky - Optus and voda seem to use the 3G 900/2100

2G is covered on all Optus/Voda/Telstra by 900/1800 according to that link above
