    @solidsnake:

    Are you TA?

    • +2

Sorry mate , I am not that LEGEND

    • he would have more upvotes if he was

      • +2

Very true. The blind upvoting of Ozbargain members (as opposed to deals) is quite fascinating.

        • +3

nah. in all honesty the quality of TA's deals is high. The occasional average one doesn't get many votes.

  • Their choc almond coconut is amazing. Expensive (5.99) but tastes so good!

  • -6

omg wtf tried ordering 60x (5 cartons) and they tell me only can add 12 in cart wtf
guess I have to go down there and raid their storage areas

    • +13

Good, thanks to such restrictions, others have a better chance of finding some :-)

      • coles were waiting for their new batch getting delivered for that night. so there a lot more

    • +1

you should open an account to get wholesale delivery for that quantity

      • +1

        lol need abn

      • is 60Litres considered wholesale?

I drink this stuff like water. It will be gone in less than 2 weeks.

    • -2

      Your an idiot.

I'm not surprised if you have some shitty little business/cafe for which you will sell these at $5 each.
Hope they all expire and rot when noone buys them like your face you greedy turd

      • +1

and no I don't………. I got 72 in my last order half yr ago different brand ran out. love drink this…. so refreshing.

  • +5

    great for hangovers this stuff

    • +3

Also great to have after a workout.

      • +1

        Why is that?

        • Elecrolytes

        • +2

@3rdEarth: Better off drinking water and eating a banana, unless you particularly like the taste (and don't mind the cost) of coconut water.

        • @Jayphen: This one taste more like water + preservatives.

        • @Jayphen:

Personally find it pretty hard to down water on its own when hung over haha hydrolyte helps too !

  • Made in Thailand, could have been a lot better if in Australia and Aussie produce.

    • +2

I have been looking for Australian coconut water for a while. would be good if we can find a reasonably priced one .

    • +12

Aussie ones would be $25/litre, dont see many coconut trees around
or grow your own coconut trees, but you probably need to own an island to have enough supply for all year round

      • -1

        Christmas Island.

      • Lots of fresh coconuts in Cairns, haven't seen bottled ones sourced from Australia.

      • Australia includes more than Sydney and Melb…

    • Aussie grown and produced coconut water? The discounted price would be $25/L instead of $2.5/L.

Edit: Didn't realise Jamesx already said it. lolz.

  • Don't know how people enjoy drinking this. Much tastier ones at Chinese stores

    • Can you recommend some good Chinese brands pls?

    • +9

Yeah but loads of sugar …

    • Actually I tried the Chinese store ones and none of them compare well to this, for me.

  • Thailand have the best coconut

    • Taste pretty much the same locally.

    • +9

not really, you should taste a fresh coconut from South India. Fresh tasting and has some gas like a soda (sprite)! Very refreshing and energetic!

Perhaps due to different breed of coconut, climate or the soil!

      • +5

Completely agree, the ones from Southern part of India are the best. It tastes the way coconut water is supposed to.

      • +5

I was in Delhi (for 2 months) and bought coconut water everyday (3-4 times a day because its about 60 cents each) . Once it had gas (fizz) in it and I threw it away because it tasted weird. The water was brownish red too. Is that normal?

Coconut water from India tastes different to the coconut water from South Asia. Thailand coconut has a wooden nutty flavour whereas Indian one has a clean crisp taste. I prefer the Indian one though.

        • Most likely you had a spoiled/rotten coconut. Young coconut tastes the best. You can eat the flesh inside too. Good one would be white.

never tasted india coconut before…. from all these comments I have to find out now. Anyone know any place I can buy in perth?

        • @bobz79: I bought the coconuts that are still on the branch when you buy them. They are not shaved like the ones we buy here or in Thailand. The seller would have a machete and cut it for you. Part of the experience I guess.

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIxJ6FFHUGU

That one had turned brown. Probably past the use by date.

I drank 200+ coconuts when I was there only 1 was bad so not a bad failure rate :D

        • @2Poor4Ozb: They are hard to find in India let alone enough left for export. They are worth the trip I say :D Watch and drool my friend.

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIxJ6FFHUGU

        • @El Grande: I used to drink coconut like that as a kid, my families would climb up the tree, chopped it up and drank it down. Yes being in Aus long enough, I do missed it a lot, that fresh taste and the natural sweetness.. But damn I want that machete that is one HeLL of a knife he got there

        • @2Poor4Ozb: Why don't we have coconuts in Australia? There is a massive coastline to grow them on.

        • @El Grande: we do towards coastal northern Aus, where it tropical weather.
the rest of our coasts are too dry and cold not wet and hot. like NT and QLD is gold tropical weather. Guess it be too expensive to and low demand in Aus compare to tropical countries

        off the topic..
A southern state of India, Kerala is named after coconuts and literally means 'Land of coconuts'..
Love the coconuts I had from here..

        https://www.keralatourism.org/

      • +2

Agree. The Coconut Collective King coconut water is quite nice too and it's from Sri Lanka.

    • +2

Best coconut is King Coconut from Sri Lanka, you can buy them in some shops :)

coles in Cottesloe running out fast just got 60

    • 60?

      • yeh I got 72 before from a wholesaler for a different brand and just ran out. 60 wont last very long few months. might think of it I will buy more summer going to be hot this year need to stock up

    • Should live on an island if you love coconut water that much

      • that the dream….tropical island, white sand, clear calm blue ocean, laying on a hammock, sipping on a real fresh coconut, listening to music, snacking on fresh seafood

        • @2poor : to think that could be …

      • Christmas Island, perhaps?

        • Christmas island tropical?

    • @2Poor4Ozb : clearly not too poor to ozbargained this deal ;)

      • wrong i'm out of $300 because of this deal. My wallet feels so much lighter :( end up coming back for another 60 so that 120pcs just finish 3 :)

  • Love coconut water but every time I see this brand I think 'beautiful c*ck coconut water' - sort of spoils it for me.

    • thanks for spoiling it for everyone else…

    • +3

Ummm that's probably just you mate…

  • +1

This stuff has to be one of the best for hangovers.

  • -4

Wow negative vote coz I brought 60….. cheaper then drinking water nowdays

  • is this brand good? been looking for some good tasting coconut water.

    • I personally feel zico and ayam taste better. But at this price, might get a carton or two coz summer is coming

  • +2

It's coconut water! Yeah it's yummy, but when you consider it costs cents in Thailand to buy and costs cents to make, coconut water is an overpriced gimmick

    • +2

U forgot about the logistics and sales cost in Australia

      • Sorry, forgot to mention that. Nonetheless its seriously cheap to manufacture and transport

  • Does anyone know how this coconut water tastes compared to DJ&A's Stripped 100% Coconut Water from Costco? That stuff is amazing.

    • +2

I used to drink DJ&A too, but I think sugar has been added to it. Tasted too sweet for natural coconut water.
Cocobella or H2coco tastes more natural I think

      • Nudie is the best.

  • +1

Is the only reason people buy this type of coconut water instead of the fresh drinking kind because of the cost? or do you prefer the taste of this brand?

Fresh ones are 2 for $3 at the moment in woolworths and I'd usually get at least 300ml from one and if you pick the fat and heavy coconuts you could get over 500ml each.
So thats 600ml (potential 1L depending on luck) for $3 for fresh.

    • +2

Convenience probably, not having to break open a coconut :p

  • +2

Thanks OP I got 4 cartons at Southgate but…

I did not realised until I got home that one was opened and was consumed already…disgusting it would appeared someone opened and drank and then tightened the cap and placed it back. I did not know and picked it up as the carton is opaque and I took all 4 together and I simply did not think anyone would do that. I was really annoyed and I rang the store back luckily they say I can throw that carton away and they will replace it next time I'm in took manager's name. No need to bring the filthy evidence back. Who knows whose saliva is at the cap it is obvious someone drank it there and put it back in the shelves. Filthy.

  • I am stunned at all the comments that this stuff tastes good!

It must be an acquired taste, because to my western palate all kinds of Coconut Water tastes absolutely disgusting LOL

I thought it would taste like coconut, which I love… boy, was I wrong about that.

    • +1

For the full coconut taste, you should try coconut milk. LOLZ!

    • Your coconut palette is probably full of suger. Go drink a freshly opened young coconut and compare. This ones pretty good imho.

      • For the full coconut taste, you should try coconut milk.

Well, yes… precisely. I am one of those odd people who thinks that food products labelled with "coconut" should taste like coconut.

Your coconut palette is probably full of suger. Go drink a freshly opened young coconut and compare

Sugar, nah… I am talking about that white stuff, you know the "meat" of the coconut, which is the reason for harvesting coconuts. That white stuff is the taste that I am referring to - the water, the shell and the husk are all just throw-away items.

Compare to what? I cannot really notice any particular difference between this Cocobella water and the water inside a fresh coconut. Neither tastes like coconut - it tastes like something, but I don't find it a pleasant taste.

As I mentioned, it's a palate thing. I like Oysters, Olives, Anchovies, pretty much anything. But people paying money for coconut water just blows my mind LOL

    • Yeah it is an acquired taste - I forced myself to drink it three times before I started to like it - at first it tasted like soy sauce!!

Now I expect it, and it's nice and sweet. Give it a go if you desire. People tend to like it because of its low-sugar content, and paleo recommendations :P Pretty fashionable.

    Bought 10, thanks OP

  • +1

Great price. Hope there are some left when I get there later.

  • +1

Okay I was surprised when I tried this because I've tried other brands of "100% coconut water" and they always tasted different to actual coconut water. But this Cocobella brand actually does taste quite like the real thing (in my opinion anyway). Defs gonna grab more today.

    • not really taste like Thailand coconut, but does taste nicer then other brands. will too buy some more today… 60 more.
SUMMER is COMING…it going be a long hot summer

  • Just went to a Coles Express to buy something else. Stock price is $5/L and no discount. Probably have to drop by a Coles non-Express to grab the deal.

    • +2

Coles specials generally do not apply to Coles Express stores.

      • +1

Thanks. Just that it's not so handy for me to get to my local Coles store. Thought I would save some time while I bought something else for work at a Coles Express.

  • sold out southern river coles, didn't bother asking for stock. but might do now that i'm craving it.

  • Went to my local coles and there was nothing left, it's a shame coles couldn't provide more than just a 60cmx30cm shelf space for this item. It was nice when they had their half price spam, it took up all five shelves.

Oh well, guess I'll keep buying my 500ml X 24 coconut juice for $41 from my local asian grocery store. Great for drinking at work.

    • +1

      Did you check the front.

I've been to 2 Coles, where its normally is, is bare. But in both stores at the front there's a huge display that has 100s that is constantly restacked
