  I bought an updated iPhone 6 plus case about a week ago from AliExpress. The feedback from other buyers was very positive. The case was/is USD 4.77 (supposedly on sale). It was definitely cheaper than other similar cases I saw. Re: the "genuine" leather … assume it's PU Leather and you won't be disappointed. The stitching looked fairly robust and the finish looked better than most of the cases I saw.

  I've known some of these cheap versions to be of low quality as in not fitting and just generally poorly made. Also the S-View function sometimes requires an app (whereas the original one doesn't).

  So long story short, how is the quality of these compared to the original and does this case need an app for the S-View to work?

  Edit: I just saw download and install instructions in the second image so I assume that means it needs an app :(
