      Thats good deal , if it was available close to where I live .This deal is available in all Aldi Stores.

      • check at the local grocers in your area. Some should have a similar offer

        • -4

          Coles & woolies is my local store and there is no similar deal here mate .

        • +4

          @solidsnake: I think he means the fruit & veg shop, not the duopoly - their fruit & veg is generally tasteless & rots way too quickly.

        • +5

          @supabrudda:

          rots way too quickly

          Isn't that a good thing? It indicates freshness! Definitely going to Coles and Woolies now lol

        • +4

          @montorola:
          Or indicates it's already been sitting in a wearhouse half frozen for weeks.

        • +4

          @montorola:
          Close…..
          Tasteless = picked too early (and usually oversized),
          rotting = left in storage too long.

          But I have shares in both of them, so please keeping buying.

        • @supabrudda: Hahahahha!

        • @PainToad:

          Yes….frozen…..

    • +2

      How much for shipping??

  • +1

    2 weeks ago I got it for 45 cents at aldi

    • +9

      And you didn't post it here…

  • +11

    But what if there's bad ones in the packet, I'm gonna lose sleep :(

    • +4

      damn, too quick to comment! Thinking the same thing. And what happens if I don't want a refund but want to get a dissimilar product?

    • +7

      I purchased some sleeping tablets from woolies. I was not satisfied with the ones I chose, I lost sleep over it.

    • +1

      nah, just return it for a pineapple.

  • +1

    I wonder where the strawberries are from? That's what worries me about Aldi produce.

    • +5

      australia.

      • +2

        Yeah said Australian grown on the ad

        • +2

          and on their web site

        • +6

          @PVA:

          and on their web site

          How can they grow strawberries on their website

        • +1

          @easternculture:
          they do it very carefully :)

        • @easternculture: "on the ad", too it seems.

      • +1

        @PVA Cool thanks, just a bit wary of some of the Aldi products.

        • +1

          actually a lot is Australian at Aldis.

        • @PVA:

          And even more German.

        • @cloudy:
          you'll be suprised by how much is aussie though.
          All washing powders are aussie made , can't say that for woolies/coles (some is uk, china).

        • +1

          Fair-enough. So am I. Did a quick search, though:
          https://www.aldi.com.au/en/about-aldi/australian-made/
          * 100% Australian grown fresh meat
          * 100% Australian grown eggs
          * 100% Australian made bread
          * 100% Australian made laundry range
          * 93% Australian made dairy
          * 91% Australian grown fruit & veg

          I imagine it's law to mention where it's from - Easy to see & judge.
          Anything this cheap that's fresh has to be local.
          Canned/Bottled simple stuff seems to be commonly imported from overseas (all supermarkets)

        • +1

          @Utopian:

          All the fruit and vegetables have where is from on the price ticket.

        • +1

          @PVA:

          Aldi is known for providing little choice, so when you say ALL their washing power is Australian made I'm not surprised.
          And when you say we can't say the same for the other retailers I'm also not surprised, because they provide choice, and when you are offered choice you naturally have variety ( not a bad thing in my opinion).

          I recently ate biscuits from aldi, made in Germany, I've also had other snacks, Germany. Aldi stocks a disproportionately large amount of German foods vs the other retailers whom take no bias in terms of location of product, just purely what sells (I'm guessing).

          But in saying all that, I'm not baggin out made in Germany, they make decent cars, so why not biscuits, or cakes, or etc right?

    • strawberries just came in season :P the prices will plummet towards the end of spring

      • +1

        Prices will definitely punnet.

        • Har Har, very punny

      • 99cents, I cant see'em getting much cheaper.
        Maybe it has been a bumbper crop this year and we are flooded with strawberries.

  • +1

    saw that on tv too.
    beats woolies 2for$2.60 (1.30)

  • -1

    some people ( like cim85 ) are too triggerhappy to rubbish Aldi's produce ,( without reading properly ) even though its clearly mentioned in the header .

    I bought 2 punnets this afternoon and they were not bruised and sweet as :P

    • lol

    • +1
      • Haha I like it - I was wondering why so sensitive and if there could be an association with Aldi after that very rude assessment of my reading skills. :P

      • +1

        I always thought it was Japanese - I have learnt something.
        Haribo make the best gummi bears I think.

        • I always thought the same too. I was going for confectionery company, scored German bonus :D

  • +3

    If I buy this and then refund it, can I get a (free) replacement as well?

  • +1

    Looking at the picture, I thought it was an ad for a Windows Phone device.

  • +5

    Thats a berry good deal!

    • +3

      That's the last straw

  • +3

    Bought these today, no taste really. Harris Farm's are not any better at the moment. Perhaps September is not a good month for strawberries?

    Edit: in Sydney

    • +1

      Wifey bought them at Southland VIC today, same here…tasteless. Look pretty good though…picked too early it seems

  • +2

    I bought three punnets in Aldi in Melbourne CBD today. They taste delicious!

  • +2

    Buy at Aldi return to Woolies ;)

    • Pics, or it didn't happen.

  • -1

    I bought some intimidating strawberries. They were really foul mouthed and rude.

  • paging drk458, paging drk458

  • I'm loving these Strawberry price wars, although it seems a little early in the season. I'm practically living on homemade strawberry detox water at the moment. http://www.easydetoxwater.com/strawberry-and-watermelon-deto… It's helping me to kick my coke habit. yeha! If only watermelon would come down in price. :-(

    99 cents is about as low as Strawberries go for a 250g punnet.

    • Ok, Strawberries at 99cents is awesome, but the bigger Aldi bargain is Kale at $1.99 bunch. Usually $2.99
