Hi,
I'm traveling to NZ for an extended period and would like to find the best value phone plans with cheap international roaming.
I plan to be calling back home each night.
Thank you.

Thanks, that was fast :-)
Yeah would prefer to keep my AU number as it would be expensive for friends and family to call my NZ number.
Another option is to get an Australian landline number from a VoIP provider (eg, Didlogic.com), divert your AU mobile number to it, then divert that DID to your NZ mobile number. Incoming calls from your friends will cost you USD 4cents per minute.
That way you could either give the DID or your mobile number directly to friends and they can still call you on it with a small charge going to you.
Depends on how much effort you want to put in setting it up and how much money you want to save :)
Probably going to be much better off buying a local SIM over there and using VoIP to call back to AU
If you really need to keep your AU number for incoming calls you may be better off on one of the Vodafone Red plans with $5 a day roaming
