Not as cheap as tap water

    • Boom! Very true, just watched this, and not the same because it's the states, it's even better! http://www.upworthy.com/see-what-researchers-found-when-they…

Is he trying to post a bargain on tap water for a price greater than zero?

If not, I fail to see the relevance of your comment here.

      Good price JSQUARED.

      • Perhaps he is commenting on the wastefulness of the bottled water industry. How millions of tonnes of recyclable, but usually not recycled, plastic waste is created every year.

How a using a reusable water bottle and tap water (which is maintained to a higher quality than most bottled water) can reduce the needless waste AND save you money. Perhaps he's even alluding to how a substantial percentage of bottled water is from tap water anyway.

Or maybe nah, his comment is completely irrelavant.

      • Both are water. I guess there's no relevance….

        Zhenjie has a fair point.
Bottled water vs tap water is no different IMHO than people who post in telstra offers that vodafone is cheaper.

Tap water for FREE gets the vote from me.

    • Tastes worse than most tap water, too. Dustier than a dingo's date.

    Don't believe the hype!

Drink tap water, not bottled water or even buy your own filter if you're that paranoid.

  • Not that I endorse bottled water, but I think Coles' own brand packaged water tastes better than these name brand packages. Anyone else feel this?

The only reason I buy this is convenience. I have a bunch of bottles in the car, easily pays itself off if I need water/a drink when I'm out and about. Much cheaper than buying a bottle at a convenience store.

Agree. Frantelle water is the worst tasting on the shelves if you ask me.

Do not leave water in your car during summer or hot days.

Slightly older video but tell me if you still want to drink Coles water? Cheap bottled water is just pure crap and a waste of money imo, though tap water is not great either.

This video tests Mount Franklin, Coles, Pump, Evian & Fiji so I think everybody should check it out.

Interesting video. But its purpose is to sell a product, a water alkaliser.

        …..credibility much reduced

  • which was the American bottled water going forcheaper tha local water recently??

Apparently its cheaper to ship bottled water by boat to Australia from the US than it is to bottle and truck it around Australia………them high labour wages right there

Ice River Springs (they've still got heaps at the Coles stores around here for $5 per 24 pack).

Made from US sewage or something.

I posted the deal (after buying 8 packs). Wish I'd of known it's point of origin beforehand.

      Ah well, lesson learned.

  • Starts Thursday

  • No choice but to use bottled water while camping. I don't camp very often so buying a jerry can/large water tank + cleaning it = not worth the effort. I drink from the tap any other time though, don't even use a cup at home.

    • What about just refilling a Nalgene bottle? It's essentially bottle with tap water. Or plenty of filters on the market too.

      • Camping like, overnight. Includes cooking, teeth brushing, handwashing and water for activities. We usually consume about 5L a day. The giant containers are coles or woolies are too expensive/litre.

I like the taste of tapwater. I have a bottle with me at work!

  • Says NT only :((
