Hi there,
I have serious doubts about the accuracy of Telechoice's mobile data meter.
My wife switched mobile carrier from Virgin Mobile to Telechoice a couple of months ago to its Global Liberty Leader $25 (24 month plan) with 1.5Gb data. She has an iPhone 6.
Telechoice is telling her that she has used up 90% of her data allowance (1.35GB) and she still has 5 days to go in this billing cycle.
When she was with Virgin, she used nowhere near that much (around 300 - 400 MB per month). Her mobile usage pattern hasn't changed at all since switching over to Telechoice.
The curious thing is that when I checked the detailed usage, it appears that everyday when she turned on her phone, Telechoice records a data usage of around 20-30MB and for a few days near 100MB usage. She always turns on her phone at home in the morning and the phone would have connected to the home wifi network. So I struggle to understand why every morning Telechoice says she used a lot of data. The total of those data usage added up to be around 650MB.
Does anyone experienced similar issue with Telechoice? Or does anyone know why there is such a big data usage when she turns on her phone (that apparently didn't happen with Virgin mobile)?
Appreciate your comments and your experience with Telechoice.
What size data packets do Telechoice charge at?
