Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo Wheel (for PS3/PC) - Only $199 - Available in Store Only

220

This is available in store only though - it is NOT available online. I have posted the link to show you the price.
Click on the Check Store Stock button for store availability.
I bought one in Canberra and they had a few left.

This is way cheaper than Pagnian Imports supposed "cheapest in Australia by far!!".

Enjoy - the Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo Wheel is a GREAT wheel (although I do have a few minor quibbles with it).

  • Nothing in QLD unfortunately, but great price. I'm sure someone will benefit from this.

Shame it's not an xbox compatible item.

When we started selling the wheels we were selling well below any other price available in Australia you are more than welcome to google this and check other prices. There are still online computer stores selling for $499. DSE are out of stock online and from the info it shows they have less than 2 wheels available at any store which has any, so obviously they are clearing the last handful they have. There was no need to direct your ad personally. We will still endavour to be the cheapest seller of Fanatec wheels as DSE usually sell the item for $367 and this is their clearance price for the limited number that remain. we understand your point and thankyou for pointing this out we were unaware of this.

Personally, I prefer the Porsche wheel.

It has a single, much stronger motor for the force feedback. It also vibrates due to engine revs which feels more realistic.
      It has the option of:
      - six speed (plus reverse) manual shifter
      - sequential manual shifter
      - tiptronic wheel mounted paddle shifter
      - wireless (or wired) foot pedals.

It uses fewer cables than the Logitech G series. The shifter is more precise. The force feedback is much smoother and more realistic. It switches beautifully and easily between PC and PS3 modes.

However, I do have a few quibbles:
      - The lap wings tend to come off easily during gamepley (when not mounted to a desk or cockpit).
      - The peddles seem to not have a very long range and seem somewhat haphazard if they get too far away from the wheel.
      - The pedals don't grip carpet very well. They need more weight.
      - You need to change you PS3 date to pre 2008 to play NFS Shift.
      - You can't mount the 6 speed and sequential shifters at the samew time.
      - There's no power button, so you have to pull the power cable to turn off.
      - Would like a second pairing dongle to have it easily connect to either the PC or PS3 without having to move the dongle (my laziness). Would also be a useful spare.

It is a great wheel and at $199 it really can't be beat. By an extra two year warranty from DSe for about $40 too, especially if you're a heavy user.

    @Pagniansales/

Cheaper is still cheaper no matter why they do so.

It's only personal if you make it so. I look at from a professional viewpoint; it's not reasonable to advertise "cheapest… by far" when a well known retailer is selling more than 33% cheaper again!

It may be the case that when you first started selling them you were cheaper; I don't know how long you've been selling them at the reduced price. I do know DSE have been selling them at this price since early December (when I first looked at them), even before you're original post on OzBargain of $299 (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/20314). That's four weeks of selling over a heavy trading period - you can only guess how much stock they had to start with…

    @the driver
Definately agree with what your saying. We really had no idea of DSE's new reduced price when we searched for lowest price on the net, their price didn't come up in searches and the wheels were all well over the $350 mark. $199 is definately a bargain and we even rated it a bargain ourself. It's a great wheel and for that price it really is a great buy.

  • Carnes Hill DSE 2 Left

  • Lol shouldn't of posted Bankstown Grrr Went in and no stock. 2 Stock gone in 20min after i walk back in WTF!?

  • australia wide sold out apparently

  • The Driving Force GT for 99$ atm seems pretty good, seeing that you're unlikely to get a porsche for 199 now.

I got the GT today, feels good enough even though i've been pretty hyped up about using the best of the best.

  • Reviews on Youtube certainly put me against buying one. Flimsy construction didn’t sit well with me, you are basically buying a Porsche logo. I was looking for a replacement for my Xbox 360 wheel, something that worked with PS3, PC and 360 and the top of the range Porsche Turbo S review didnt convince me the model below would be better.

  • GOT ONE TODAY I CANT BELIEVE MY LUCK
    rockdale had 1 left new.
got it with warranty and $10 off. the cost price is apparently 191$
    so blardy happy

manuf. warranty is only 3months tho?

    • is it missing the porsche logo and a mounting plate? lol.

      • lol no but the box seems really cheap. havent used it yet. went on holiday the next day just got back today.
