Sister smashed her Galaxy S4, so trying to find her a decent cheap phone. LG G2 seems like a good bet, but the availability seems pretty scarce. Best i can find is Becextech (yeah…) for $329, though who knows how long it'll take to arrive. Anyone know of anywhere that stocks this within Australia, or somewhere that'll send it relatively quickly ?

Yeah I saw that, but 5.5" might be a little too big. Plus the 20% off is no more :(

yeah that's the one i was looking at (+$29 postage) - might end up just going with it, even though they don't have the best reputation
Hmm, think I might look at the Asus Zenfone 2, or maybe the LG G3 for slightly more.
G2 is a bit old and hard to find now - and I'm not sure it ever got v5.1.
Given the IFA from the 9th, there maybe more EoL phones around soon.
LG did mention that they will skip 5.1 and go to 6 straight away with G2 (but they've pulled "the hardware do not support the version we've promised, we will not upgrade the device further" once already with Optimus LTE 2 and Key Lime Pie (KitKat)).
Yeah I looked at the zenfone 2, however I doubt she'll be too happy with a 5.5" phone. Also the snapdragon 800 is still a very capable CPU.
I am using one at the moment hehehe.
You can also check out Nexus 5 which is almost the same phone and gets timely updates.
Thanks guys for the help and recommendations. Ended up discussing it and turns out she didn't mind a bigger phone. So decided on the 64GB Oneplus One for $420 (storage was important).
No idea, but what about that LG G FLex 2 that was on sale before?
