This seems like a good deal for a new model for existing Vodafone customers. $29 cap contract for 2 years and get Nokia e72 free. You also get $10 credit for the first 12 months i.e. you basically pay $19 for first 12 months then $29 for the remaining 12 months. The cap does not cover international calls though but no biggie if you don't call o/s

  • seems like a good deal

  • can u buy a vodafone prepaid card and then join up?

    • Not 100% sure. T & C just says "Offer subject to change and stock availability. Prices include GST. *Approved customers only. Eligibility may be subject to a further credit check and/or the provision of ID documentation." I would expect it to be ok?

      • turns out u can =] i tried it

        • Can you elaborate pls on your steps? Was told on phone this is only for existing customers wanting an added connection (i.e. not replacing current connection)

          • @nani: i bought the 2 dollar sim card from safeway as kristo suggested below, activated it, went online to purchase it, i selected existing customer- pre-paid user. that was it. it didnt state that i would get 10 dollars credit for the first year each month on the receipt but i called up and they confirmed that i would get the credit =]. maybe the person you spoke to wasnt sure on the deal and was just being safe.

  • Awesome deal on a great phone.

  • That is a killer deal.

  • +1
    • existing Vodafone customers only
    • The cap does not cover international calls

    Otherwise it's a good deal.

  • Very nice deal. Too bad I'm not with the big V…

  • I've been on vodafone prepaid for years, but never on a plan, do you think I'd be eligible?

  • What about Crazy John Pre-Paid? Crazy John is Vodafone. Would this be eligible?

  • It will work for Prepaid customers. On check-out once you get to account setup, it will ask if you are an existing Vodafone customer, either pre-paid or post paid and your existing mobile number.

By the way, I think this is a great deal for anyone wanting to upgrade!

    • hey foolysik, did you go through with this? I rang Voda and on the phone they said "existing customers" = existing customers on contract wanting an added connection?

      • No, I wanted to see if a pre-paid customer could get thru check out. Also, I wouldn't take anything these Vodafone reps say for granted. I have called them about deals that the rep didn't even know about. Also, I don't see how someone buying pre-paid credit from Vodafone fails to be an existing customer. The online check-out asked these questions at account setup so feel free to try it, let us know how you go?

  • So you could buy the cheapest Vodafone prepaid phone, then sign up for this deal?

    • …or you could just buy a $1 SIM card at your supermarket/dept store/phone shop, then activate it and upgrade it to this deal from there.

  • I can't seem to find this deal anymore. Is it still going?

    • yeh its still there. 4th option under "Bundle and save"

  • Three has a similar offer with add on $50 credit for online purchase. Three's offer is available to new and existing customers. There is a catch, need to pay $10 for the phone.

    Those interested please see http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/20937

    Thanks.

  • For this offer im with vodafone but my wife is with telstra, so could I then order the phone for her but still have her number ported across seeing as her number is under her name with telstra & I was ordering it with vodafone under my name? The account names is where I am seeing a problem for the transfer of her number across…

    • I've done a similar thing with 3. As long as they have your verbal recorded consent and your wife's verbal recorded consent it should be fine.

However I'm sure a quick phone call to Vodafone could let you know their policies on the matter.

  • I got the Nokia E55 - free on $29/mth (24 mths) with $150 credit + 3 months free SMS + $50 DealDirect voucher to be a better deal. This was just before Christmas. Not sure if it's still on at Crazy Johns.

  • Great offer from Vodafone .. about time they looked after their existing customers by offering them a "great phone"!!!

  • I'd like to know if the maps and GPS service come with the plan or do you have to pay extra?
    Thank you.

  • This offer is still valid - just picked one up for the wife today. Sweet deal…

  • Is this offer still valid? I can't find it on the website anymore.
    Any help would be great.

    • nope last time i checked a few weeks ago, the deal was gone. cheapest deal was the 29 cap with 10 dollars handset repayments
