Kogan Raised Their Price Midway through The eBay Sale?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ASUS-STRIX-GeForce-GTX-970-OC-4GB…

This GTX970 card was @ ~$560 yesterday and now its $624. I've seen stores raise prices before sales, but is it even legal to raise your base price in the middle of a sale (20% off ebay sales)?

  • Oh no, a company trying to increase profits, never seen that before!

Rather than just the increase in price, the main problem would be that their own site lists the RRP @ $549. That's the main problem in play here

Kogan has fine form in this area. Their favourite trick is to advertise a "FREE SHIPPING SALE" then jack the price of most products up by the shipping amount.

If you have evidence then submit it to ACCC, it's very easy to do and helps the ACCC build a case.

I recommend that everyone do this! Takes very little time

Firstly, technically it is eBay's promotion, not Kogan's sale.
Second, of course it is legal. Something that breeds contempt for the company and poor customer relations? Absolutely. illegal? No.
