I am on quarterly billing, I just noticed my cost per kWh has gone up by 30%. Is this just Click or have other people been spanked?
I thought Tony Abbot had fixed this by shutting down those dangerous wind turbines and we'd reverted to burning cheap coal and all those extreme greenies. I'm Gonna have to churn, any recommendation for this month for us schmucks who live in regional NSW ?

I called them up recently and the switched me onto the lower price that new customers get.
Utility companies and insurance companies seem to be notorious for doing this… luring customers with low rates but then jacking them up while giving new customers lower rates than existing ones. It's like a bait and switch.
It is free to check all suppliers offers online.
If you have elec & gas you will normally pay a higher rate for elec than if you have an all elec house.
If you have solar you may be also charged a higher rate for your consumption.
I live in Sydney. i was with Origin since 2009 then switched to Click last year. I switched again to Powershop in May this year and noticed there has been a significant drop on my bills since I join Powershop.
I'm in Qld with origin and noticed the rate for kWh is now 0.22 but the daily charge went up from 88.414 c/day to 116.398 c/day this bill however is the cheapest I've seen in a long time !
Powershop is the cheapest.
Origin Qld have just decreased theirs to 22¢ but increased the daily fee to $1.16 , solar feed in 50¢.
