Fairy 42 Pack All-in-One Dishwasher Tablets for $4 (9c Each) RRP $13 (~ 70% off) @ Big W [Newcastle, NSW]

790

I was starting to freak out because I was down to my last 400 dishwashing tablets.

These come it at about 9c each.

As far as my experiences go these work as well as the Finish Quantumn tablets in my Bosch dishwasher.

Good price. Plenty of stock.

Hope it helps someone :)

Edit 8pm: Appears this is store specific to Market Town Newcastle City NSW store.

Hi OP. Just a question… did you actually buy these, or just take a pic? The $4 sticker looks like it's just randomly put there, and the pack next to it seems to have no sticker at all. Normally the sale price is on the shelf, not the product. Reason I ask is that Big W Broadmeadows (VIC) has these at full price (my wife was just there). Thanks.

    • I bought 8 packets (is that 'Broedaning'? I don't really know what that means haha). Still plenty of stock left though :)

      • May I ask which store please?

        • Market town in Newcastle city

    • That yellow price sticker is found on all 'Drop Zone' clearance items.

@sween64: Plenty at Box Hill but at full price. The guy scanned the normal & lemon 42x and said they were both $13. Starting to think this is a one-off special for the Newcastle store. Sorry sween :(

        • @Bellpop: + for your "πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Œ" icons… how do you do these?

  • How do these compare with Finish tablets?

    • They are way better than finish imho

      • Are these the ones that have the dishwasher stuff that cleans the dishwasher too as well as ur gear?

        • +1

Yep. I find these as good as the finish quantum and better than the finish all in ones and the finish classic

        • @Bellpop:

Do the finish ones clean the dishwasher too?

        • @Twisty: Officially I'm not sure. But my Bosch seems to be clean.

    • +4

I find the finish ones taste better. The fairy ones are OK dipped in gravy.

  • Don't think it's all stores. People please clarify

That's the Costco effect - I freak out when I'm down to only 20 rolls of paper towel

  • 24 for $5 here. Good deal?

  • +3

No Tablets at my Big-W but 400ml of Finish dishwashing liquid reduced to $1 from $4.50. See photo: http://imgur.com/X8v31gA

  • I hope they're discounted in my store, I haven't got a huge supply. In fact, I have about six Woolworths brand ones left. :o

+1 for "freak out because down to last 400".

It's all stores.. this was on ozbargain before as part of drop zone. You won't find stock, don't bother.

    • Not quite getting what you mean.what's drop zone and can you actually buy it in store? If there's no stock then how do you get them?

      • Drop zone is the name of their ongoing price slash on clearance lines sale. They aren't restocking drop zone items. If it's not there, tough.

  • +1

Woot. Not often there is a Newcastle specific bargain. Hopefully some left tomorrow

  • noooooooo

  • Can someone let me know if Macquarie Centre still have them?

    • The staff can.

How do you have internet but not a phone? :p

        Naked DSL

  • I prefer the Platinum version which includes some more cleaner-ish goodies…cleans the inside of the dishwasher too. I found some at half price and would have posted them on here as an awesome deal…but seeing I bought every bag they had it seemed a bit unfair ;)

  • Why spend out on these tablets when a 1kg. box of coles or woollies own homebrand powder for apx. $2.86 does the same job with just as good results but much cheaper per load( have tried both, so do know the results - used in a Miele dishwasher ) Also add white vinegar instead of finishing rinse to your dishwasher - provides the same sparkly finish to the wash , but for a fraction of the price. To give your dishwasher a good clean out to remove any grease etc. in the pipes use either epsom salts or bi-carb in the powder dispenser (WHEN DISHWASHER IS EMPTY! ) & run @ hottest temperature cycle - maybe once a month - more if it has lots of use . My Miele is now 15 years old & works beautifully. The previous dishwasher was a Zanussi which lasted for over 20 years. - before that it was just me with a pair of rubber gloves & fairy washing up liquid - won't ever be going back to that !!

    • I read a website forum where a lady screwed up the seals in her rinse aid dispenser using vinegar. Not sure this is the best advice.

      • Perhaps she was using the wrong vinegar !? - After 15 years of using in my present dishwasher & numerous years in the previous one - Can't see what problem could possibly be associated with using WHITE vinegar, but could if it was brown vinegar.

        • I found the original article, this might explain why you never had any issues:

"This second repairman told me that on newer dishwashers, the rinse aid compartments have rubber components that aren’t really compatible with acidic things like vinegar."
