I need one and this is actually the best price i have seen other that the EB Games above but thats in store and could be a typo as the price in most stores (even ebay no new ones for under $250ish) is $269 not $169. DSE have is for $200 but thats the best i have seen. If anyone has a knows of a better online price than $173 please let me know.
If you don't mind second hand, and don't mind cash converters, you can often pick one up for ~$100 with a controller. (I did this three days ago: $110 for a 120GB Slim w/2 controllers). Most CCs seem to have at least one or two, so you could call around. Otherwise you can use the webstore (https://webshop.cashconverters.com.au/items/?page=2&searchFor=playstation+3&sort=price|desc) and filter by areas near you. The webstore doesn't include anywhere near all stock though.
(My plan was/is to buy one, play the handful of exclusives I wanted to play, then resell on eBay and hopefully come out even).
It might be the best price right now but it's clearly not a bargain.
EB Games don't have stock, they just have pre-owned for $148 so for new PS3 this is the best price. Maybe price match at Dick smith with 5% off gift card is only cheaper option.
