  • Probably the best xbox one deal yet. Wish there was a ps4 bundle like this.

    • Yeah it's a shame all the ps4 deals don't come with games. Will keep an eye out for a good bundle for you :)

  • i would love to know if its worth buying from kogan, or should i buy it from harvey norman for 450 and i don't get titan fall? i mean how would warranty work with kogan when i can take it back to a retailer? am i right?

    • You still get the identical manufacturer warranty offered by Xbox Australia. You can also send it back to Kogan but since they do not have a physical store, you will have to send it back to them although they should reimburse the postage charges.

Although it's at least a $70 saving after cashback compared to the HN deal and you could spend this extra money on Battlefront, Halo Guardians :)

      • but would it be better getting it from a retailer, I've dealt with harvey norman a lot and their warranty is great and also they help our a lot with the manufacturing warranty as well it wouldn't be worth spending the extra money for that?

        • It's up to how much you value the in-store warranty. $70 is a sizeable amount at the end of the day which could buy another game bringing your total up to 5 games.

I have never had a problem with my Xbox One and if I did, I would probably contact Microsoft over DSE with regards to the warranty.

Microsoft Australia will handle your warranty whether you buy it from Kogan, HN or DSE as they are all registered Xbox resellers.

I hope I have answered your question.

You're not guaranteed any better service from Harvey Norman. I bought an Xbox One bundle from them last Christmas, it got sent but they sent Forza Motorsport 5 instead of Forza Horizons 2, and was missing Halo MC Collection. I reckon it took at least 20 phone calls to finally get the Halo sent out, but still never got the right Forza game. Just gave up in the end, it wasn't worth my time! Don't think I'll ever buy from them online again.

I know not everyone will have that same experience, but just putting it out there…

        • @bagger: That sounds awful, I don't understand how they could get the order so wrong.. Maybe they knew you were an Ozbargainer? Gerry is getting smarter by the day.

        • @bagger: yea i agree with you on the online part, but it depends where your stock is coming from, each store has their own online person.

@ShamelessBargains: Yeah, they guaranteed delivery by Xmas, they just didn't have the stock so sent it out with what they had. No notification or anything to say "Sorry, your other games are on back order and will be sent asap", that I would have been fine with. But I had to chase it up endlessly.
Or maybe Gerry is finally becoming Gerry-atric!

        • @blitzn: I dealt with what they told me was where all their online stuff is sent from (Vic at least - from memory, Maribyrnong?). A couple of the online people were nice enough, just didn't get a good result.

It's a mixed bag I guess, one of the Geelong store owners was actually really good, he offered to pick up the missing games even from Melbourne, as there were none in stock in Geelong, and personally drop them to my house! Unfortunately the stores he was going near on the day didn't have stock either!

    • If there is anything wrong with xbox console when it's brand new then don't contact Microsoft support because they will replace our brand new console with refurbished one. They call it Microsoft certified console. Don't fall in this trap. In this case always go back to retailer and get brand new replacement console which you are entitle to under consumer law.

if you buy it from harver norman then you can get replacement straight away.
if you buy it from Kogan then return is free, they pay for return postage, but you will have to wait for over one week for replacement item.

So its up to you to decide if you want to save $70?

  • Not really into AC so I passed on this.
Too bad the other 2 games aren't physical copies so they can't be sold to recoup some costs.

Hoping for a Halo 5 Ltd Ed. bundle for ~$500 or less nearing the release.

    • There is still no reason you cannot sell the Digital version games. Just don't activate the codes!

      • Yeah I reckon you could get ~$50 for all those digital codes which would bring the price down to about $330 after cashback :)

Ok will keep an eye out for a bundle for you :)

Limited edition consoles are the best, I have an r2d2 Xbox 360 and the design and sounds it makes are awesome! Pity they are not making one for the Xbox one, I would have snapped it up haha

  • SOooo tempting! My partner will be asking me plenty of questions if I buy this when we are meant to be putting all excess money aside for a holiday..

I feel like I should attempt to fix my Xbox 360 that had the red ring of death, and use that a bit before I get an Xbox One. But then I will be late to the party by the time I buy one… and the next generation console will be out..

Stuff it, I just have to close this tab and move on! Oz bargain - so distracting…

    • That red ring was very nasty. My old 360 hdmi port stopped working so I stopped using it. Console still works fine with component cables if you are interested? It's the 250gb slim console too :)

      • Thanks but If Im going to spend any money, It will be less than $50 to fix my current console, or spend $400 for a new Xbox One or PS4!!

Im going to attempt the 'towel trick' or some other method of 'reflowing' the solder points on the motherboard. Apparently the red ring is caused by some solder points that have come loose… and you can sort of overheat your Xbox to get them to join up again. Im a bit dubious, but It's on my To-Do-List to try out soon

        • Good Luck with fixing it then! I reckon you could get the Xbox one down to $330 after cashback if you sold the games. Almost cheaper than a 360 bundle haha

Red ring cant be fixed, it is a fundamental hardware issue and the problem will come back after a while. Trust me, I have gone through this process. Dont waste money on that.

        • @KaTst3R:
I'm going to wrap it in a towel or put it in the oven.. I'm going to follow instructions from many guides online that suggest it could really work ! It's not going to cost me anything and it might be a fun project one Saturday afternoon !

        • -1

          @MelBourne:

You are mad and possibly will get yourself hurt from a fire hazard. The main issue is the motherboard bends when it gets hot and the x-clamp cant keep it from bending. There is nothing you can do to fix this even if you replace the x-clamp as the motherboard will eventually bend again.

Do what you want, but seriously any logical person will know that putting your xbox in an oven melts the components. And the next time you turn it on, you will see flames…

        • @KaTst3R: Thanks for the response to my comment! Have a nice day.

    Says out of stock.

Thanks, updated listing. Hopefully they get more stock soon

  • dam missed out on this…such a good bundle

    • hopefully it will come back in stock soon, don't want any Ozbargainers to miss out :)

      • I just pre-order the MGS limited edition PS4 …now tempted to buy another console lol

  • Agh missed it! Oh well a new low price point is set, and I've already waited this long…

I'll never buy from Harvey Norman again, their tech support is the pits.

  • All these Xbone deals. Surely it must be a sign!

    • haha time to upgrade from 360? Make the plunge from Sony to Microsoft? Leave the PC world behind and move back to consoles? The possibilities are endless with Windows 10 haha

      • Actually the Xbone is the only console I don't have. Been waiting for a good deal but I've missed all these ebay deals. (Hesistation mostly) I want one for Halo 5 though.

  • More stock available for the Target Xbox One deal if that interests anyone! Only 5 left at time of posting :)
