What do you think they look like in real life? What do you think they do for a living?
e.g. I think Tightarse is someone who does nothing but fight for awesome deals. Everyday, he calls up and asks for deals, and someyimes harass until an awesome deal is arranged for ozbargain.
Predominantly young and Asian…and slightly geeky and big on selfies. I've met a few in the wild or rather I should say that a few have come over to say hello to my wife and I happen to be standing right next to her. How they know my wife, now that is a mystery…

An average ozbargainer would be male based on one of Scotty's stats. Have short hair because he would be cutting his own hair from all the shaver/clipper deals. Wears Slazenger/Fila branded clothing. Has a personality bordering on hoarding because he would have a collection of Eneloops, SSDs/Portable HDD, Micro SD cards and sim cards in their original packaging. Has an above average BMI from the McDs/HJ/KFC special deals/hacks. Also most of his computer accessories are Microsoft branded and likely own a legit copy of Microsoft Office as part of Microsoft HUP. Has or previously owned a 5% cashback debit mastercard/visa and is a customer of gearbest.com.
How am I doing so far?
I don't quite fit the Ozbargain average —
I don't own any Microsoft peripherals. They're mostly Logitech.
Most of my clothes are surprisingly not Slazenger and I do buy from the likes of Jeanswest, ASOS, Myers. I never pay full price though.
I hate hoarding and I sell most of my junk on eBay and gumtree.
I do have about 10 MicroSD cards, and about 3-4 prepaid SIM cards. And a few Cree torches. No eneloop collection unfortunately.
I seldom eat fast food, don't see them as good value for money and they lack nutrition / taste.
But I do have a lot of things in common with the avg Ozbargainer:
I have a LOT of Udemy courses I've never touched
A lot of free Kindle ebooks
A lot of Amazon app store apps that I got for free
I have to fight the temptation when I see a good deal on a tech related item (especially SSD's, tablets and cheap laptops)
A tonne of steam games I've never played
Interesting. Why Logitech? To me, I would be indifferent as my opinion is that the quality would be similar and during the annual Microsoft 40% off cashback, it is a no-brainer.
Oh.. forgot one thing.. Xiaomi power bank charging their mobile phones.
Mainly because of Logitechs Unifying nano adapter tech. That's how Logitech has locked me in. One dongle does many peripherals and even the super cheap KB's come with one.
Also because Microsoft bowed out of the gaming peripherals market. They don't have mechanical KB's either. Their Xbox controllers are probably the only gaming related PC product that's still current, but the Sidewinder series are no longer updated.
I do have an Xbox wired controller and a broken LX3000 USB headset.

I keep wondering what Jar Jar Binks is like and what the real story behind all the other stories is. I don't know if they are fact or fiction but please keep telling us the stories. Either way I want to know what happens. I'm too busy chasing bargains to follow stories anymore so I'll happily follow yours, JJB, and maybe I'll also find some bargains along the way. I haven't met the really regular one like TA, EC, JV etc…
I beginning to think many OzBargainers are bloody rich people judging by the reports on what income $ they earn and the professions they seem to be in after an OP asked something about best profession/vocation to choose!
They would often go great length to get a bargain and think about how to sell their purchases to make money. Instead of Urbanspoon, they choose their eatery using the Entertainment Book.
They can come across as being quite annoying and very money-focused, sometimes you just want to slap them across the butt, most of the time you would roll your eyes at them every time they speak.
( The butt thing is probably because I am dating one, but yeah)
