  • Maybe it will be updated in 1-2 days.

    • thanks for ypur replying , i hope so that it would be updated but what do you think the tax return is finalised because when i look at to email that sent to me by my accountant it first say transaction process date 21 august and then effective date 21 march 2016 and then in second column it say 21 august process date and effective date 21 august 2015 , so i am confused , the accountant told me that you will soon receve the paper work from ato, but today is 26 august and my gov account say that its still processing , i am worried about this, have you any idea?????
      thanks

provided the return is done properly, cannot see any reason to worry especially when having to pay back. due date for personal tax is not another 2 months?!

        • i am worried that they gonna not go deep into my tax return ??? especially when it take too long to process???
whats your opinion, they say that some tax return need manual processing , i dont know wahts manual proceesing means???

You could call the ATO and ask for an update.

It would probably make more sense too instead of making assumptions based on the comments here.

    • i call to the ato and they just say that its processing thats it……

  • Lodged one on the 7th of August and still waiting.

    • you are still waiting , means that you didnt get your notice of assesment yet???

  • i was told 14 days is the norm and i am free to call my accountant and get them to follow it up with the ATO (screw calling up myself… what is the accountant fee for?)

its now well over 14 days for me but going by this thread alone, it feels like EVERYONE wants their money so ehh… i can wait

    • so you have to also pay to the ATO????
if so then my case and your case is similar but i am worried that they gonna not go deep into tax return , thats why i get impatient

If you have to pay the ATO why would you care that it takes longer? That could take forever and a day as far as I'm concerned. You'd only get impatient if you were waiting on a refund.

    • i know but if it takes long you get impatient because that they gonna not do any audit on return , because if takes too long then there might be something to worry about, what do you think

When I did mine, it took me about four months for it to come through so it's perfectly normal for it to be taking this long(there's a huge line and lots of papers(and applications if people did them online) to validate and stuff from all over Australia), or so I was told from the people at the ATO.

    • you are right but the problem is that if i have to pay to the ato why they take so long , i lodged my 13 august and today is 26 and still says procosing , i need my NOA , i am worried that they gonna not go deep into tax….

  • If the return is incorrect maybe ask your accountant to correct it. Is that why youre worried?

    • no the return is correct but it takes long to process. when i log on to mygov account it still says processing……almost two weeks is gone
