  • Or Apple is also selling refurbished models of the same machine for $1519

not sure if you can claim GST on eBay purchases, but you definitely can for Apple store.

    • It a decision one has to make . Whether to buy. A new laptop from other retailers or a refurbished from Apple 😀

I find refurbished are as good as new, you still get the full warranty. I'm not sure if you can get Apple care on them, but I presume you can.

please note: Kogan sells Grey Import Apple products.

"This Product is an international model imported directly from internationally based distributors. This Product may differ in some respects from other similar products available from local retailers in various countries around the world."

selling these more expensive than Apple Australia. Again, grey import being more expensive is not a deal. No idea if Kogan will charge you GST or not so cannot say for certain if you claim GST. Agreed with Apple refrurb store & GST, plus you can always go into Apple Stores to get support if you bought from Apple Australia.

Don't forget, if you qualify, you can purchase from the Apple Education store for further discounts

    • The location of these Kogan MacBooks is Melbourne, so GST will be paid. (But they are selling you an overseas models)

Kogan also sell Apple devices straight from Hong Kong and these would not include GST.

  • They increased the price by almost $80 from Kogan site
