  • I bought one… but for the life of me don't know why the Small was $10 more… if anything it should be less with less plastics involved :P

    • Yeah for whatever reason, the prices are a bit all over the shop. Very hard to track

  • Good deal and great device

For me it does everything an apple watch does in a more resilient package.

The findmyphone function is very useful when my dementia is playing up.

Only problem is when I'm having some 'happy time' it thinks I've run a marathon

does this display caller number or it just vibrates?

It does both. My one almost a year, but lcd display now shows only partially. It functions okay tho.

Might I suggest contacting Garmin Australia and taking advantage of your 1 year warranty? I had exactly the same problem along with a break in the plastic on top of the display and they replaced it. Admittedly, the replacement is a refurb but if I get another year or two out of it then it's worth the postage (yes, you have to pay the postage to them and yes it's a PITA but such is life….)
I should also mention Garmin were really fast in acknowledging the fault and sending a replacement - within the week. No I'm not associated with them in any way but good service deserves publicity just like shit service. Best of luck!

        • I appreciate for your suggestion mate. I believe the dead pixels of the display is because of the radical temperature change. I wear the band when taking hot showers. I considered to replace it but bahhh it would have a similar problem for the replacement. I take the wrist band as a consumable item not durable at the time I buying it, so I am happy to keep this faulty band as long as it measures my steps. The wrist band is waterproof (I swim and do half-marathon) and no other issues whatsoever. Summing up, I AM TOO LAZY! Nevertheless, you're awesome for spending time dropping the lines and providing suggestions!

    • It also displays notifications on the screen

  • Seems like this hasn't expired?

    • Seems like a new father's day sale. Prices have gone up slightly. I'll edit the post.

      • No worries, thanks for the deal by the way. Bought one small for fathers day which was $6 more expensive.

  • Be aware of it. Mine fell off while pushing heavy shopping trolley. Noticed on way home and drove straight back but no luck. And I bought this brand because it was reviewed as being more secure than Fitbit on the wrist. After one week!!
They won't get my money for a replacement.

    • Was just wondering about how strong such mechanisms were (some other brands have a similar system.)
Wife just got a FB Charge HR which has a standard watch-type band which can't come off accidentally.
