What's the best deal you've missed out on?

I saw the OW deal for the super cheap 5TB USB HDD almost as soon as it was posted and I watched the chaos unfold as I assumed it was a pricing error. I still kick myself for not immediately placing an order.

What's a deal you wished you jumped on or found out about too late?

For bragging rights - we got one of those.

My biggest regret is not buying more property and shares in the eighties.

    The $24.50 Chromecast.

  • There was a really good deal a couple of months back for the Note 4 at a Australian Ebay Retailer sale. Was around $650 from Good Guys Ebay.

  • Cray Supercomputer. Didn't bid, sold for $700. Still kicking myself to this day.

    • What would you have done with it? I always thought, if you got the right model, they would be a pretty funky seat for a hotel reception area.

      • I have no idea but I do collect some vintage computers.

The particular model I was going to get was the Y-MP2 which were the same Crays' that were in Tron Legacy (the two flanking Flynn's desk under the arcade).

It was also one of the very few models made to run on conventional 240v/10A and was used for weather analysis and predictions in the late 80's.

Ugh regret not buying that so bad.

        • mmm interesting…. If we are talking non-ozbargain deals then I regret not buying an old soviet fighter jet, but I don't think I would of been able to afford all the associated costs (And I doubted it could fly at all)

    • Cray "formerly" supercomputer

  • The $9 Dell printer.

    • you didn't miss out, mine stoped work after a few print outs. cbf getting a warranty fix on it. straight to the hard rubbish collection.
