    • Wonder if they will accept return on SIM card.

      • Lol,, I will hold onto it. For no reason.. Heh heh. hopefully there will be a good special next month on the new moto x-play

  • Collected my V6.. Thanks OP!

  • I got a DC35 2 years ago… should I get this? hmm…..

    • We made the same upgrade today, although our is few years older DC35 unit, but still working well.
      Many small improvements:
      - Longer battery life (20 vs 13 min)
      - More power on turbo (didn't notice much difference on regular)
      - Button to turn it on is much much easier to press - it was tiring on the old one
      - Accessories snap on much easier and feel more solid. It needed much more pulling and twisting on the old one.
      - Charge indicator is on the main unit and not on the charger.
      - The filter is easier to take out
      - You can remove the dust bin to clean it
      - More lights and indicators when something goes wrong (e.g. overheating)
Dyson basically fixed all the negatives we had with the old unit.
However, our biggest surprise was that none of the parts between the new and old model are interchangeable. Now we have to re-install the docking station as V6 doesn't fin to the DC35 dock.
Also, the power brush on V6 is much larger, so we are yet to see how it works around chairs and in corners. The old one was slightly more flexible, as the new one rotates only to one side. I hope it will fit in the tight spot we have for it in the laundry.
Don't forget that you will be getting a brand new battery.
I am happy with our upgrade (especially as we managed to get the $50 store credit promotion).

  • Just collected. Happy with the quality
Awaiting store credit by email as they said

I used one of these at a mate's apartment and loved it.
What I can't fathom however is how a stick vacuum can cost $400 and be a bargain. I think the last regular vacuum I bought was $60.

Are there any stick cordless vacuum's that are cheaper (like $200 I could stomach) - and what would I be missing out on by not splurging on a Dyson?

  • Thanks OP, was hoping for a Dyson stick deal before I had to settle for something else for my new place. Picked one up today.

Is it possible to buy on EBay and click and collect in store?

This way I could get 2% cash back and use my $50 voucher from previous Ebay click and collect deal.

ps: just read the term and condition. Only apply to www.goodguys.com.au

  • Thanks OP been eyeing these the last month

  • Save your money and just use the dam head on the dc59 fits perfectly.

As much as I hate to admit it; when it comes to handheld vacs, there's Dyson and there's the rest. That's why it's hundreds of $, not under a hundred. I've owned many handhelds over the years, nothing has come close to my DC43H in suction and ease of emptying etc.

My biggest regret was not getting this V6 stick version, because while the DC43H had the same motor, the three things I really wish it had was the charging station, wider head and especially the extension stick. At first, the $250 difference between the DC43H and this V6 Stick version looked a bit much, but I forgot there would be bigger discounts on the Stick model and by the time you buy the 3 accessories separately, it would be $200 anyway. So with the V6 Stick version now effectively $200 off, this is a bargain.

I would agree a cheaper mains powered bagless floor vac approaches the performance of a Dyson equivalent (I'm very happy with my $70 Kogan floor vac!), but when it comes to handhelds, there's Dyson first and daylight second. This deal is a bargain; I'm tempted to buy a second one!

    • Correction - my non Stick handheld is actually the DC58 with the V6 motor, not the DC43H with the older V2 motor. The DC58 is currently $317 at GG - which makes the V6 Stick at $399 with a free $99 kit a massive bargain.

    • I find the v6 stick well designed, the dock station is brilliant. Pretty sick of lugging the ol' dc23 around just for a small spot. So for the convenience, the price for admissision is justifiable.

Although I find the dc54 for around same price as the stick is really good value. This's def a case of horses for courses.

The missus loves how light weight it is. She been riddling with it last couple hrs. That never happens!

Thanks OP! Oh nice post up with the store credit and bonus pack. Had Dyson on email alert since missing the July sales but I think this deal is better. +1 with a thumb!

This is what ozB is all about! Well done

    Bought yesterday and tried tiday.
    Be careful!
It is too strong and sucks wool carpet. After a few minutes the container half fulled with wool.
Had to remove the roller to weaken the power.

  • got mine today! awesome vaccumm!

    • i bought mine yesterday, still haven't got any email to tell me that its ready for pickup. do they send an email?

      • I called up store direct and ask if I can just come in even though no email confirm. As long as they have stock of all items you ordered you can just go in.

My local Tgg had pallets of v6 and dc54s just at the Dyson demo stands. Dyson lady even posted the bonus pack form for me.

  • Any one knows how soon they send out the Bonus Tool Kit??
It says its fathers day gift kit….so I am assuming it's going to be before then?
doesn't say in the terms and conditions.

    • Ive already received mine, took 4 business days

  • Cannot find serial number - tried looking behind the filter & in the handle area but nothing there. What am I missing? (btw - I price matched at david jones - bought vouchers at 10% off)

    • I think it was on the bottom of the box from memory

    • You need to remove the container and it's hiding behind it. After I removed the container I used my mobile phone to take a picture of the serial number.
