Got this last time it went on special, Portal is great fun for anyone who hasn't played it and TF2 is excellent multiplayer. Still have to play all the HL2's though, many hours of gameplay.
This is an excellent grab. The sales on there are awesome. Picked up the Abe's Oddysee pack as well. Nostalgia like crazy!

Killing Floor for $5 is another bargain. So is Bioshock and Burnout Paradise. Heck why don't we post every single deal so that we have 100 Steam deals on the Ozbargain front page.
The deal posted up is for 24hrs only. Unless you check steam everyday you wouldn't know what is up. I'm sure most people are more likely to check OzBargain everyday rather than steam. Bioshock is actually even cheaper right now,75% discount, than in the original post, 33% discount.
I can't see why people wouldn't check Steam every day if they're after bargains. This deal is only one bargain of hundreds of others. If people know that, then they would check Steam everyday just like they check ozbargain everyday. That is what the sticky would be for. To remind people. It could be continuously updated as well.
And yes I know Bioshock is 75% off, that is why I mentioned it along with those others that are part of today's deals. That doesn't justify posting the deal. The original post made it clear that new deals are being updated daily.
Now, if you don't mind I think I'll post those other deals as well since they're bargains.

I only posted to make a point at how annoying it is to have multiple posts when there could just be 1 post stickied.
I'm not pointing the finger at you though. I'm pointing the finger at Ozbargain because of their incompetence. They sticky deals by shoppingsquare.com for example but can't even sticky a Steam holiday sale which would make things nice and tidy.
@zhenjie: zhenjie, mate I honestly don't care. I'm just stating what's the right thing to do. Not only that but it's the most practical and efficient as it saves people time and gives people more of a chance to catch one of the deals. I suppose you're the type who just doesn't care about making things easier for others? You'd rather have the original post buried 3 pages back while people keep rehashing individual deals.
It's funny how my posts got marked as 'spam' when in theory they were no different to this deal.
@manbearpig: adding more deals to make a point isn't the way - there is a talk to the moderator thread and also the report button - you will get more action that way. As you can see from my post below I was also coming to same conclusion - albeit a bit slower than you - guess the xmas drinks take their time to work thru the brain…..

@manbearpig: You've missed the entire point of why people aren't agreeing with your methods. You're not doing anything that is constructive or beneficial for your cause.
An alternative solution to this problem is to implement an "Ongoing deals" category, where deals that:
- Last multiple days
- Change frequently or daily
- has frequent updates
should be moved to that section. This will make "bumping" or reposting the original deal unnecessary.
While its in the spirit of Ozb to post good deals to share, in this particular case I don't think we need another deal to be posted since's already an existing deal on the front page.
Agreed - getting as steamed up on this as with Coles catalogs listings of one item at a time - its actually turning me off coming here - and hey I'm a mod.
Have raised it with other mods to see what we can do.
As every listing pushes other listings off the pages some good deals are getting lost with these hourly - yes a bit exaggerated - deals from steam.
It's like dealsextreme - you go there and check the new items every now and again.
Can someone tell me if any of the COOP mods for Half life 2 work okay?
I've not played PC games in years but myself and flatmate want to get some COOP games. Don't want to buy this pack only to find the COOP mods are all buggy.
If someone could reply before this deal runs out that'd be fantastic! Thanks in advance.
