Installed SSD Now I Got a Folder with a '?' on Boot

Hey,

Picked up at Crucial BX100 SSD from a deal,
Opened up my Mac Mini Mis 2011 last night. Pulled out the HDD
Attached the Bumper that came with the SSD and clipped the Sata cable back in.

Booted up and attempted to hold down the option key, in fact I tried a few different key strokes.
The Mac Mini powers on, Chimes, sits at a light coloured screen for about 20 seconds and then flashes with a '?' on a folder Icon.

I have a thumb drive (USB) with Yosmite installed on it that I was hoping to install on the SSD.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

  Found out it was a dodgy USB,
  
  However now the USB boots the Disk Utility can not see the new SSD.
  Now sure if it's a Faulty SSD or if I have missed a step?

    Ahh! Turns out I had a loose Sata cable
    All fixed!
