  • Cheers OP, the reviews seem positive, for 20 cents its worth a punt to see whether this beats the stock Google Calendar app.

    • Biz calender/Business calender is a great option, got it for 10c in a sale, last year, but its a few bucks now, but worth it in MHO.

and helps protecting the endangered Mountain Tapir.

    How ?

Helps protecting the endangered Mountain Tapir. Tapir Apps is a key corporate sponsor of World Land Trust http://www.worldlandtrust.org - we donate 10% of our revenue for rainforest conservation.

      According to their description. :)

we donate 10% of our revenue for rainforest conservation.

So they will donate 2 cents.

How long will that feed a Mountain Tapir for ?

          Org. Price is: $4.49

          revenue is 20 cents however…

@jv: seems like they have sold 100 thousand +. At least they are donating something… :)

Awesome. I've been using the regular aCalendar now for a couple of years, I found it to be the best alternative to the old S-something Samsung calendar (which I particularly liked).

Haven't had any issues with aCalendar so would happily pay $0.20 to get the extra features, oh and the Mountain Tapirs, can't forget them, thanks for the reminder jv.

    • and the Mountain Tapirs, can't forget them, thanks for the reminder jv.

There are only about 2,500 left in the wild today…

Hope one of them sleeps with a full tummy tomorrow because of my purchase…

      That's my 2 cents anyway!

    • oh and the Mountain Tapirs, can't forget them

Really? Didn't you like just hear about them?

      I too am a fan of the S-Calender ;)

      • True, I did. Reassurance maybe? I was until I stopped using Samsung ROMs, and then Samsung phones. Google's basic calendar app was just disappointing.

Business Calendar 2 is the shiznitz for me, but for 20 cents I'm just going to add it into my app library..

    • +1

Business Calendar is excellent. From the screen shots and description this doesn't seem quite as good, but not far off, so for 20 cents you can't go far wrong.

    • Yeah, being using it for a couple of years now.
But I didn't know there was a v2, I wonder what the diff is?

      • +1

        MaterialUI
        Dark and light coloured widgets.

There is not much of a diff otherwise.

        • Cool, thanks

I also got this deal/acal to check out & 20c is a no brainer, have to use my $40 of credit some how, thanks OP

you forgot "and never use it"at the end of your line

Is there a link to show the 20c apps for each week?

  • +1

This is the best calendar app that I have found. I tried about 10 different calendar apps and found that this one to have the best widgets. I've been using the free version for a number of years so nice to now get the extra features.

  • +2

Paid $4 for this years ago. Maybe the best $4 I ever spent.

  • 20c to try an app with good reviews, why not?

  • +1

if we have ten people giving their 2c worth, does that add up to a good recommendation for a 20c app?

  • Does any one know how to hide tasks? I only see an option to delete tasks?

  • Great find OP, been looking for a good calendar app.

    Decent 4.7 star rating.

    Will this sync with Outlook?

    • Hi, I would also like to know how to sync this with the desktop version of Outlook (ie not Outlook.com or the exchange server versions). I don't want to use Google Calenders or any cloud syncing… just for it to sync with my desktop Outlook.

    • Mine does - I link it through my email settings (I think it's Microsoft Exchange) and it gets picked up by this app.

However, I've found it doesn't show categories (but you can manually change the colours in aCalendar).

      • Thanks, I've done it with exchange before. Might just be able to do it through the outlook.com email address.

        • Yeah - otherwise could try the Outlook app? I've not used it before but presumably it should work :)

        • +1

          @SkyHeron:

I have had no issues with it working with other apps, it's just finding an app which is good.

        • +1

It basically copied over all the accounts I already had on the phone, so it had the outlook.com calendar info automatically copied over. I've used it for about 5 mins and already like it more than Google, Samsung and Informant calendars.

  • This is my calendar app of choice. Mainly because when I looked at several a while back, it was the only one with google task integration that worked the way I wanted. Widget for tasks works well, and the app overall is pretty.

    Worth a go for 0.20c!

  • is there anyway to view the calendar like this??

  • Best calendar app and for 20c go get it.

  • +1

This is a great app that I use daily - one of the few apps that I've paid full price for over the years.

It has some of the best widgets available, including Agenda and a 7-day (rolling) view, rather than just the static week view.

Also the app developer is (to my experience) responsive if there are issues.

  • I don't get it …

It says $0.20. I press buy, turns to US$4.49.

    Any thoughts ?

  • Is there a way to have 2 calendars or calendar apps on Android but have one calendar dedicated to work and the other dedicated to personal?

I tried a few apps but both work and personal tasks etc would end up showing in the same calendar.

  • Nice app looks great and he donates 10% of all purchasers to protecting tapirs

  • I still don't get it … says 0.20 -> Buy => $4.49

    Help pls.

    • Its all fine in my side. Try to clear cache and clear data of Google play store. Restart device. Hope it works.

    • Mmm, is your google account setup in Australia region? I had this problem but for google music not being able to get free albums listed on ozbargain due to having New Zealand as my account region.

  • Good app and no issues with it, picked it up for free during one of the Amazon App bundle deals.
