RFID Debit Card Protected Products

I had used rfid protected sleeves previously but they were cheap and not good bought off Ebay. I think they may even have destroyed the ability to use pay wave. I have read the other alternatives being a wallet and something called Armourcard. I like the idea of a slim business card holder which can store like 2 cards. I thought the armour card was ok until i read when the battery runs out, you have to replace it again in 18-24 months. It's not cheap as well like $50 to 60 dollars. Which of these products do people recommend or have tried themselves and work.

May I ask why you require such a product?

Think of it as a tin foil hat. except for your wallet. Srs.

  • Hi,
I use a simple Aluma RFID Wallet form eBay, about $3 delivered.
Put in the front pocket of my pants, that way also avoids nerve issues I had with wallets in my back pocket.
They work, tested them, no one can scan my RFID credit cards in a walk by attack.

    Cheers

this one uses a metal mesh like a faraday cage.

  • You could get a Commonwealth Bank card… They look nice, but the contactless option has stopped working on every single card that I have had over the years..

  • you could get another card with another bank if your actually worried about rfid being stolen in a drive by (someone bumping up against you less then 1cm away for 2 seconds)
just having 2 cards in close proximity to each other will stop any would be drive by-ers? from being able to get a clean reading

    or some al foil
