Hmm OP is $13 cheaper than just walking into JB Hifi and getting a physical copy. Though both are still pretty exxy for what is an old game now :/ (imo)

That's not the digital edition. Physical discs are almost always cheaper.

Yeah he acknowledges that in his first sentence.

      • Physical discs are almost always cheaper.

What? What kind of uneducated statement is this?

        • Errr generally truth? Australia gets scammed on digital purchases, very, very regularly.

        • I think he means on consoles and by buying from the au store?? If that's the case it's a pretty shit time to be had. (at least on a majority times) PC on the other hand…..

        • @hamwhisperer:

So you're telling me that it's cheaper to go buy Just Cause 2 from EB Games for $20 instead of $2.50 on Steam?

          Yeah, no.

Australia gets scammed on digital purchases

True, but it's still cheaper digitally.

        • @Forfiet:

If that was his context, then yes, he is right about that. If he was including everything in the gaming market, then no.

        • @Forfiet:

Correct. Digital purchases in the Xbox Store are almost always more expensive than a physical copy in a retail store. There are circumstances where cheap digital codes can be purchased through a website such as cdkeys.com… but the selection is always quite limited.

Doesn't really matter though, my comment has been down voted to oblivion already.

        • @guidedlight:

Because you failed to put context into it and Spackbace was linking items to encourage people to buy this deal.

          Get off the self-pity train.

        • @Dagmar: I understood the context. This deal is specifically talking about an Xbox One game, so the context was the Xbox digital store.

        • @Dagmar:
Sorry I didn't make it clear.
Steam / PC excluded - this is a major 'locked platform' issue.
          Handhelds / consoles etc.
Although some big, big digital games, same issue on PC too (call of duty, only $99 US!….)

    • Though both are still pretty exxy for what is an old game now

But, but, this is the FullHD version ;)

      • It's actually not just a HD remake, there's a pile of new stuff

    • If you have a deal then post it!

      • +1

It's just those dodgy game/account sharing guys on eBay.

        • So Chef-Johnson has paid $19 to rent the game basically ;)

        • @gokhanh: Yuck.

        • I didn't think that was possible on the PS4, only PS3?

  • -3

I did not "rent" the game. have full access on my PSN user name, and it wouldnt classify as a deal so won't bother posting.

  • Cheers OP. Been waiting for it to go on sale but they keep only offering it with the bloody Shark Card.
