  • Any idea if this is available in NSW?

    • Just checked hurstville train station store and there's no deal on there. They have the machines for $99 and capsules for $8.39

It'll be available from Wednesday… for Hornsby anyway. So I'm guessing that's when it starts for the rest too.

      • thanks.

yes just checked the coles catalogue and it does start on Wednesday. not sure why it's available early in VIC.

        • got the last one on the shelves from the Coles store in World Square Sydney.

There might be another one on hold at the service desk - just ask.

  • How is the quality of coffee on these?

    • +1

I like them, I got mine in a similar deal and it's been really economical.

    • +2

It's a very limited range and many of the available flavours aren't very good. Have a look at what's available before committing. The pods for these are also generally quite expensive, compared to pods for other brands. Have a look at what's available for them before committing. (make sure you're looking at the right things too, just because it's a Vitoria pod does not mean it goes in a Vitoria machine)

      • Do you think the Caffitaly S21 for $50 is better value? The pods seem cheaper but you don't get the free pods up front.

Step 1 - Buy the coffee and receive coffee machine
step 2 - Take the coffee back and get a refund.
step 3 - put coffee machine on ebay.
    step 4 - repeat process

    • that not only cheap… it's low… what a slxt… :P

  • Apparently people are/were having problems with leaks and grains in their coffee. It's a great deal but considering the reviews, I will stick to my Electrolux:)

    • We've had two, both had the same problem. The leaks are from the discarded pods. There's no way to fix this, as the receptacle in the machine for the discarded pods has a big drain hole at the bottom. If the used pods land in it upside down, they empty themselves out the hole and all over the kitchen bench. Both machines have randomly filled the coffee with grains as well. I still haven't worked out what causes this, one cup will be fine, the next may be undrinkable. It happens more often than not, though usually it's just a matter of not drinking the cup to the bottom.

      • Get it replaced. My parents had the same problem but a replacement fixed it.

        • If you read carefully you'll notice it's already been replaced. I know of other people who have one and they have exactly the same issue.

Also… Replacing it won't fix the design flaw where the discarded pods empty their contents out onto the benchtop.

        • @bazzaa: Sorry, I was referring to the grains. My parents were getting almost 100% failure with the Vittoria organic pods and maybe 50% with the espresso. It pretty much dumps the whole contents of the pod into your cup, making a very bitter and gritty cup. It worked fine for a year and it got replaced out of warranty. The replacement had no issue with the same batch of pods that was failing before. Just ask for a second replacement. I've heard some people had several replacements.

        • @scupper:

They told me that as coffee is a natural product I should expect some grains … But I have never seen any other machines do it.

Will ask them to replace it if that's the common practice.

I did get some leaks and grains in my first machine. Exchanged that and been pretty happy. I think it's a steal though if you want an extra machine somewhere else. I'm already going to buy my Vitoria pods anyways so why not get it with the a new machine!

  • I went to Vic Gardens Coles today but nothing there. :(

  • I bought this coffee machine but I am very disappointed with it. The machine has an issue of dripping water, also Coffee does not test good.
Wondering if I can return all pods and coffee machine back for refund (I have used only 3 pods out of all)? Please advise.

  • @Digichef - I believe you can return it - I did replace on of mine when I got some grits in the first one. Vittoria Coffee was pretty good to me though I didnt like the Cafe Aurora Brand. Taste may be subjective though.

    • Thanks for reply. My wife loves this coffee so have to keep it now.
