Has anyone out there got there Universal Media Server working with there Sony Bravia TV, I have a kdl50w700b. The TV can see the UMS and the UMS application on my windows can see the TV. But when I try to play the movie files on my TV from the Media Server, it doesn't work.
Has anyone got this working?
Trying all means at this stage
Try plex or Playstation media server. http://www.ps3mediaserver.org/ If they work you know the TV and the pc arent the issue.
The PS3 will play the files fine and so would ums on the PS3. But I'm trying to use the TV to play the files as the TV can see the files from the media server, but just won't play
UMS might be the problem which is why suggest using PLEX or PS3 media server.
i had trouble with the PS3 doing the same thing.
In the end I used Vuze (yes the bit-torrent program) and the PS3 worked perfect every time playing files.
PS3 is good but TV is not playing the files directly from the media server
The UMS discussion boards are pretty good for support, you would have better luck trying there
