Opal - when is the new day?

Does anyone know when the daily cap resets? is it 12 midnight or 2 am?

Also does the opal poles still work between 2am and 4am?

For the purposes of fare calculation, the Opal day commences at 4.00am and ends at 3.59am the following day. The Opal week commences on Monday.
