[StartHere] Hotels.com 10% Coupon and Moneybackco

I tried to book a 9 nights trip to melbourne and just before the confirmation page, hotels.com said the quote the deal was originally based on was no longer available and if I wanted to accept a more expensive deal.

I used a different computer and was able to get the cheaper deal with the 10% coupon discount. I am not sure why my booking under moneybackco did not go through smoothly.

It would be another $100 off but the important thing was I got the booking I need for our trip to Melbourne. Just courious why the deal was available and not the next.

    Hi flyingtrapeze,

    Use of some voucher codes can prevent moneybackco from being seen as the referrer for the sale or lead, check out this FAQ section for more information on this.

    I have no idea why the deal was available and then not, maybe you could check directly with hotels.com?

      Thanks for taking the time to reply. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
      I did talk to Hotels.com but they were not too sure. The 10% from Hotels.com came in handy, it would have been a bonus if both discounts would work giving a total 16% off. But that didn't seem to be the case this time.

    Seems like putting a coupon through will nullify the moneybackco offer. I learnt this the hard way
