When I read the title, I saw it as costing $299, and "usually for free".
Perhaps reverse it - "FREE @ Stackskills, usually $299".
If this works, they should be busy building robot themselves. The fact that they build a course instead and try to grab a tiny $299 from you means …….you know all those scam.
In fairness, the course never says it's a get rich quick scheme. It teaches you how to make/code trading robots and some basic market strategies but it's up to you to come up with more advanced personalised strategies/algorithms to actually make substantial wealth.
So…… maths then?
That's me out.
So, does it require builder/user to give values for its parameters, OR does it learn "optimal" values?
Why is there no Instructor Intro? No accountability here… :-(
Can anyone identify the speaker's accent?
How do you have any idea what they're doing?
Very interested! Thanks!
What does this trade
It seems that the course will be discontinued at StackSkills, the instructor provides a URL to enroll (free?) at Udemy: http://goo.gl/R9lhVa
I have clicked on it and indeed it did take me to the equivalent course at Udemy but I cannot say if I was already enrolled (Udemy hoarder) or it automatically added the course.
Can anyone test? It's free on Udemy. Confirmed! And it's the same course.
That seems OK. Udemy is "course infrastructure"
Coursera is cost-free "course infrastructure" (for free MOOC's).
Be good if you could just pay (or in this case get for free) the optimised algorithm to run yourself :D
Thanks a lot. I am a software developer. No intention to build a roboter, but with this course I should be able to understand what and how they work. Good for my CV.
And by the way, if anyone is looking for a Senior Java developer in Finance, PM Me :-)Yeah, anyone who lists 'took free non-accredited online course so totally understand algorithmic trading' on their resume is going to be cooking fries for a long, long time.
You'd be surprised. You obviously haven't dealt with HR or 'People and Culture' (as they are bloody known as now) much to think they have any idea about how to properly place someone.
I thought it was 'human assets' now?
buy algorithmic trading by earnie chan
nothing in this course is at all useful!
is this actually educational? or just promotional in order to spruik a more premium product at the end?
i havent looked at the coding part yet but the trading engine it is built on seems to be bucketware
