Hi, bought the Nescafe Dolce Gusto machine over a year ago and while the coffee is pretty good the cost is outrageous at $8.49 a box at Coles. Then again you do also get a pod of milk as well as a pod of the coffee. So can I ask… are there cheaper compatible pods available anywhere else? or should I just get another machine with cheaper pods and if so which? I'm also now thinking about the possibility also having to add a milk frother to the mix since I haven't seen another machine that also offers the extra milk pod. thank you.
I think $0.53 a pod (including the coffee and the milk) is pretty good value.
Also keep an eye out at Woolworths & Coles, they have 2 for $13.50 specials pods now and then (used to be 2 for $13), https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/nescafe-dolce-gusto. The website also has promos now and then for a free box or similar with any order, https://www.dolce-gusto.com.au/ - I keep an eye on their Facebook page every now and then.
As far as I am aware there aren't any compatible pods for Dolce Gusto. Whilst you could probably get pods elsewhere slightly cheaper without the milk, you would then have to factor in that cost as well.
