More expensive roaming rate than local sim,
the local sim won't work in the non local country, the roaming will. I would prefer the more expensive roaming sim
Good idea. call rates are reasonable.. The data is a killer - quite expensive,
I found that buying prepaid sim when at the destination country is way cheaper. For example, last month Lebara at spain costed 5€ for 1GB of data, another provider (forgot the name) at Portugal costed 7.5€ for 500MB data with unlimited call. Just show your Aus driving licence, put the new sim in and you are good to go.
