So, the wife is P&C President and every year they do a little Father's Day stall for the school to raise some funds (yes, they do a Mother's Day one too).
Generally they try to offer a few things at different price points ranging from a couple bucks up to about ten or so.
They also need to make a bit of money - it is a fundraiser for the school after-all.
Has anybody got any ideas on what they could buy in that would:
1. be a decent small gift for dad,
2. is affordable, and
3. allows for a bit of a mark-up without being too much of a rip-off.
Thanks.

Eneloops and SD cards.
But seriously the cheap gearbest torches would be good.
cheap stuff that kids would like to buy, not necessarily what dads may want. Pens, bottle openers, packs of mints/chocolates, coffee cups,
No idea of this company but they have great cheap stuff that kids would love to buy. They have a pdf so you can see all the items, dearest is $3.95

Maybe
Notepads / Moleskins
Parker pens
Silk ties
Business socks
Aftershave
Hankerchiefs
Bathrobes
Spearmint gum / minties
Shoe Polish
Powerbanks (Eneloop variety)
LED keychains
LED torches
Remote control QuadcoptersI like the list but I don't think you are thinking of the right demographic for my local school…
Think more along the lines of thongs and stubby holders. Then why not just go with thongs and stubby holders?
personalised coffee cups
personalised printed tees
guitar picks
those really cheap wallet multi-tool cards (buy in bulk here )
bottle opener (bulk here)
car air freshener (e.g)
hip flask (e.g)
Wine stopper
men's belts (costs $2.80 each from Daiso)
gloves in bulk and beanies
Beef jerky (not sure where you can get them in bulk, maybe Reject shop?)
Why don't you setup an afternoon tea stand. Scones with Jam and cream, jars of preserves (if somebody feels like making them), cakes, hedgehogs, etc. This sort of stuff always goes down a treat, and people can divvy up any leftovers. (You do need to label stuff to indicate what is in it, and I would keep anything with nuts away from the others and wrapped.)
Gotta be hard to turn a profit, assuming you will have stock leftover.
My suggestion would be for next time.Have a catalog for kids to choose from and get a bulk order done from somewhere like artscow of personalized keyrings and mugs etc. Plus maybe a choice of some led torches and cheap stuff you can order in from China or Hong Kong.
mSD cards and loops starter pack.
I have a bunch of kids, and have received some of the world's greatest tat from these stalls.
I recognise the cheap chinese stuff is super cheap and the kids eyes light up with how much stuff they get for $5, but I would rather things like coffee or tea samples/gifts, a box of chocolates, shaving kit, some gourmet treat or something else that doesn't clutter up the cupboard rather than yet another 'world's greatest dad' stubby holder.Good on you for trying to do something a bit different.
I know what you are talking about.
I really don't want my kids wasting their money on most of the crap they bring home.
Is there a budget? Could you go raid a $2 store and markup the stuff to $3? I'm sure all Dads would still appreciate the thought behind whatever gift they get. I know my Dad loved whatever I got him, whenI was a kid (long ago!)
school did this kind of things, were mostly keyrings, golfballs, and coasters
