Hi,
I was wondering why comments are hidden if negative votes are revoked because some such comments still may be informative even if the associated vote was not valid.

Hi,
I was wondering why comments are hidden if negative votes are revoked because some such comments still may be informative even if the associated vote was not valid.

I more meant that some add permanently hidden
Post the link to it.
Oh you mean why comments are unpublished. Going to have to wait for a mod to reply, but I'm guessing the way the system is set up is that you can't remove a neg vote on the deal unless you unpublish a comment.
Yes, the entire comment is removed. 99.9% of the time the comment is useless. If it weren't well…it wouldn't be an invalid vote.
From that deal:
The original title said:
KFC QUEEN'S Birthday Feast all weekend, but no price given! A good deal nevertheless
It was fixed within 10 minutes to:
KFC Queen's Birthday Feast All Weekend - $41.95
But in those 10 minutes the following negative votes/comments were made:
only $1000
LOL no price, but somehow it's a deal?
No deal move along
momov3 so desperate to contribute you forgot the price?
No price, no deal
How do you know it's a good deal if you don't know the price?
No price, why both posting this?
no price but its a bargain
10 minutes! And these are long time users who we've told countless times to use the report link.
Anyway, once the price was in the title, the comments don't make much sense.
It's juvenile- reminds me of toddlers covering their ears.
I hate that.
I always want to know whats underneath the hidden comment but sadly will never know…
Comments are hidden because the votes on it have reached -6 or more. It doesn't matter what vote the user gave towards the deal.
