When you mean instrument pack is this the Rock Band Bundle or just generic instruments?
I would think it was the official Rock Band pack but without the game.

The JB Rock band pack for $44 comes with guitar, drums and microphone but no game. The Kmart rock band bundle pack for $49 with 1 game doesn't list the microphone. In that case you may as well go to JB hifi and pickup the instruments and rock band game seperately for $40 without the microphone and save yourself $9.
Unless someone can confirm that the Kmart bundle does have microphone included. In that case it would be a better deal. As the JB deal bundle pack is $64 with the rock band game.
i called jb hifi at leichhardt and the girl said that it starts on boxing day, is that right?

All those interested in this deal, better check the JBHIFI web site for store opening times over the weekend. As not all stores will be open boxing day (Saturday 26th). They will all be open on sunday.
EG only 7/34 NSW stores will be open boxing day. All stores will be open sunday.

It's meant to be a Boxing Day sale according to their memo, but I managed to pick up the instrument pack today for $44. The two stores I checked out had no drums, guitars or games. I also spoke to the staff about general stock levels and for Sydney metro, there are only about a half dozen stores that have stock of the instrument pack and no more than 2 units per store… the city store has 4 tho.
The Rock Band game is only $30 at EB and Big W anyway so not that big a saving.
Can you confirm if the Guitar is the wired or wireless version? As they are available in both. Also if stock is very low, can I ring any JB Hifi store and they will tell me which stores have stock? I'm mainly after just the guitar anyway.

I was after the PS3 RB1 guitar at a NSW store. Eastgardens, and all 3 CBD shops are sold out. That's as far as I checked.
When I did go to Eastgardens, they had only 2 XBox360 and 1 Wii RB1 guitar left ($10 each).
Better hurry or you'll miss out like I have :(
I called up quite a few stores. Most said they don't know or they sold out. The lady at north ryde said that there were 49 copies of rockband left in all of aus and that jb staff had taken advantage of the deal. Castle hill said that the game was 29.95 rather than 20 but the pack and individual instruments are the same as the prices listed here. The girl at parramatta said "yes there is a sale…but we don't know". I didn't ask to elaborate. The stores that are participating on boxing day but are closed boxing day are doing it after boxing day. Grrr this is all i want. Its so frustrating.
reckon eh/ girl at north ryde was hopless, top ryde said it was $37 for the game…far out!
the 3 stores I went to in QLD (Bundall, Loganholme, Macgregor) were all out of stock…and weren't getting anymore…
