I did a search and couldn't find it discussed in the forums, other than myself asking the same question 4 years ago. Basically I am looking for a Visa or Mastercard that
- Needs to be a business card registered to my company (pty ltd).
- No annual fee.
- No foreign transaction fee (similar to 28degrees Mastercard).
Currently I have a Business Visa from St. George which has no annual fee. However it has terrible foreign currency exchange rate (current AUDUSD = 0.69) and on top of that charges me transaction fee. We spend quite a bit buying goods and services overseas — hosting, Amazon Web Services, merchandise from AliExpress, etc — and the cost really adds up. I wonder whether something like 28degrees Mastercard or Citibank Plus exists as Business credit/debit card?
I'm guessing there's no such animal, because provided you kept it in credit it would potentially cost the bank money on an ongoing basis (particularly the foreign transactions), while making them nothing whatsoever in return to offset the losses.
Some banks are clearly willing to allow individuals to retain an essentially fee-free CC that they make nothing from, presumably based on the probability that at some point the CC-holder will 'drop the ball'/ rack up a debt beyond their immediate means to repay/ start incurring interest… but for a business, I doubt you'll find a card with the specs you've described. Actually, even with an annual fee, I doubt that you'll find any business CC that offers unlimited fee-free foreign transactions.
