apus store ususally has monitors for $185 (21.5 or 22 inch) on their specials
Maybe have a look at the Acer cashback list:

For example, if you go to MSY they have the 23.6” 5ms DVI Acer X243HQ for $187 after $49 Cashback.

I got my 23" Acer monitor that way and the cashback cheque arrived no problems.
Im also looking for a 22" LCD TV..
