Wait for a better sale. I saw Sandisk Ultra 8GB SD card going at HN for $5 not too long ago but the sale ended.
$4 was the most recent best price
Yes you are right the Sandisk Ultra 8GB SD Class 10 card was $4 at Officeworks less than 2 weeks ago. Beats this plain Sandisk 8GB Class 4 card by miles.
At some price point they'll have to stop making these, the way they did with 2gb and 4gb (and smaller) cards. Are there many/any devices that can't use 16gb cards?
I suspect they've already stopped supplying them retail, and what we're seeing is the retailers selling off their inventory.
Yes, some early devices only supported a maximum of 2GB.
I won't buy any full sized SD cards any more. So few devices use them. Better to buy microSD and use an adapter, at least there is a chance of using it in something else. Only exception to this rule is the very high speed and capacity cards, but even then the difference has almost disappeared.
Thanks OP. Cheap as chips!
Haha bought one for work for $10 yesterday.
Great for embedded Microcontroller projects :)
Only class 4, so not their best offering of late. Still, cheap enough.
