I got flights via my Qantas Frequent flyers which didnt include luggage. Is there any other way of purchasing - discounted I should say, that buying direct through Jetstar. Its going to be $63 per person (2 seperate flights for a family of 4) for 15kg of luggage each . Im not complaining because I paid next to nothing for my flights using points but just wanted to make sure that calling them to purchase was the only way ?
Oh really ok well I didn't know you could do that - but doesn't that mean I can only check 1 bag in though? Or can I check 4 bags in that weigh 10kgs each ??
You aren't even allowed to check in a bag that weighs over 32kg. So yes you can check in 4 bags at 10kg.
But if you've got kids why not just use two large suitcases in total? Remember you still have carry on.

I'm not certain but making changes over the phone costs more. You should be able to "manage your booking" on Jetstar website and it should be cheaper.
I see that you posted this 4 hours ago. I recommend you to buy your luggage within 24 hrs of booking or else the price will increase..I made this mistake once and paid through the nose for baggage cause I was indecisive.

Why don't you just get 40KG for one person each way? or something like that?
Its not per bag and if it happens to work out cheaper then thats a much better option.
