If I had $100 to spend on a lamp I would definitely grab one of these. All the best with your business and breaking into the market, they look great.

    • Thank cymon

Finally, someone who is passionate about manufacturing in Australia. !!!!!

Everyone else seems content with digging dirt and selling it. I was starting to think that in the next couple of decades, no one would know what "engineering" meant!

Do you have ceiling lights ? Are the LED Lamps replaceable?

I would certainly be getting one of the rose lamps, they are really nice!!!

All the best with the business guys. Anyone who believes in manufacturing deserves our support. !!!

    • We certainly are passionate about Australian Made!!

We don't have ceiling lights yet. We would like to, but at the moment our current collection is keeping us plenty busy.

We look forward to processing your rose lamp order :)

      Cheers

In your previous deal two months ago, the rep commented "…..we're going to work with our designers and suppliers over the next few weeks to see if we can create a special deal for OzBargainers at the ultra low prices!!"

That was during a deal for 40% off. I gather that the ultra special deal plans fell through?

I did not see that. Only a few months back they were $60 (plus 8 postage).
$99 with free post isn't much of a deal then.

      • Hi jdr/PVA

yep, our ultra special deal plans fell through. We worked on it for several weeks, but we just couldn't get the cost down low enough. There are just so many costs that weigh down a fresh start-up. For example, we pay $5 just for a cardboard box to package our lamps. We then have to pay another $17.10 to get our lamps shipped around Australia (of which we pass on $14.10). That's before we even get to lamp cost.

We hope to be able to bring something out at a lower price in the future, but at this stage, we're just able to do it yet.

        Cheers,
        Avargadi Team

    Kudos for using some sustainable materials but;

    handcrafted by technology - wtf

This unique material also gives each lamp a distinctive textured finish. (means its a rough lumpy finish). It will not be smooth like the site photos appear.

3 WEEK SHIPPING - really no stock at all. Made to order, perhaps this is because PLA polymers lose their durability under heat and UV. Not that i'd expect it to fall apart real soon but expect it to become more brittle over time like plastic.

    • Hi Dlite,

In addition to the images on our site, here's a link to our Instragram, Twitter and Facebook account with some more images of our finished lamps. We're happy to let people be the judge of the finish quality of our lamps.

We're also visiting markets around Melbourne so we can come out and see our lamps in person. We'll next be at the Rose Street Market on 9th August from 11 - 5pm.

PLA is a very durable material that is able to withstand heat and UV light (it wouldn't make sense to make a lamp out of material that can't stand UV light). We also offer a 12 month warranty should anything go wrong with your lamp (though we work hard to make sure it doesn't). The reason why we say 3 week shipping is because each lamp takes 2 days. We normally ship within a week, but during periods of high demand, it can take us a little longer to process all the orders.

      Cheers,
      Avargadi Team

  • I have two Rose lamps in the bedroom. Great looking lamps. I'm very happy with them.

Next plan is to buy some remote-controlled multicolour LED globes.
